mlev. An Autobot City Apartment Lounge. Reasons to Stay
Windcharger: *as he comes into the common lounge in their apartment building* Hey, Gears. Have you seen the latest episode of 'Idiots Eating Stupid Things'?
Gears: Yeah, it was one of the worst things I've ever seen.
Windcharger: I can agree with that. What was the absolute worst show you've seen?
Gears: *names it*
Windcharger: *wince* >.o Oh, yeah. THAT was pretty bad.
Gears: You better believe it.
Windcharger: Were there any shows you DID like?
Gears: *thinks about that* You remember the one on Cybertron about the turbo fox?
Windcharger: Yeah, I think so.
Gears: I liked that one.
Windcharger: *remembers the premise of that* Huh. *NOT what he would have thought Gears would have liked*
Gears: What did you like?
Windcharger: *uses his magnets to lift one of the couches in the lounge* I liked the shows about the heroes doing daring deeds. . . . You know, we laugh at humans' weird TV shows, when ours weren't that different before the war.
Gears: Yeah.
Windcharger: *puts the couch down and sits down on it* We've been able to go back to Cybertron for a while. Why haven't you ever asked Optimus for a transfer back?
Kia: *runs in and dives for Gears* Hug attack ninja!
Gears: *frowns as he looks thoughtful* Ack! *hug ninja attacked*
Kia: *much cuddling as she happily chatters*
Gears: *gets over the shock of the attack and smiles* *looks at Windcharger* I guess I've gotten too used to the things I can find here to really want to act on going home. . . . Don't tell anyone, but I'd miss Earth just as much as I do Cybertron these days.
Kia: *looks up with those big eyes, but she doesn't interrupt what the older bots are saying*
Gears: *smiles down at her*
Windcharger: *surprised to see the normally grouchy mech smiling*
Gears: *hugs her back* You're all right, Kia. How was your day today?
Kia: *little wiggle* Rumble's still napping and Ratchet and Danny are too. Other than that, and me seeing Sideswipe's monster killing game, it's been really nice.
Gears: Sounds like it's been pretty quiet. *just how he likes it* Not that 'Sanctum' game he likes so much? *doesn't understand that game*
Kia: No. This time he was actually playing something else. There was a HUGE chompy monster chasing a train. *hides her face for a moment*
Gears: He always likes 'em violent, whatever they are. *shake his head and pats her on the back*
Windcharger: *wondering who the guy in Gears' body is*
Kia: *perks* I have a new game. And this one hasn't got a pony in it.
Gears: Oh? *maybe he can actually get interested in this one*
Windcharger: *it certainly SOUNDS like Gears*
Kia: *gets out her datapad* Yes. It's math!
Gears: Ah. *not something he's a fan of, but he's glad she's interested in something*
Windcharger: >.o *math*
Kia: See? It's called '2048'. *starts explaining the game*
Windcharger: . . . That actually doesn't sound too bad.
Gears: *shakes his head, agreeing with Windcharger*
Kia: *gets game going, and then holds it so that her friends can see the screen and advise her if they want to*
Gears: Move it down.
Windcharger: Wouldn't it be better to move it up?
Kia: *studies the screen and calculates rapidly* No. I think down is better.
Windcharger: 0_o? Why do you think that?
Kia: *explains. She's not quite as in depth as Perceptor would have been*
Gears: *blinks at her explanation*
Windcharger: *kinda sorry he asked, but he's not going to say it out loud!*
Kia: *finishes and looks from one to the other*
Gears: Down it is, then. Right, Windcharger?
Windcharger: Oh, yeah, totally.
Kia: *happily makes the move*
Windcharger: *exchanges a glance with Gears* *what just happened?*
Gears: *shrug* *looks back to the screen of the datapad*
Windcharger: *shakes his head*
Gears: *watches as she continues playing* *gives helpful--or maybe not so helpful hints along the way*
Windcharger: *his help often contradicts Gears'*
Kia: *so happy to be playing with guys she loves as uncles*
Gears and Windcharger: *said uncles are so caught up in the simplicity of the complex game that they don't really notice anything other than the game*
