ANH. Guest House at the Minicon village on Endor. Did we get the happily ever after?
"Smokescreen. Jetfire's fine. Stop fussing over him before you set Fixer off again." Arcee pats the husky mech on the arm, frowning at the miserable concern on his homely face. "And you were doing something important, so it's not your fault that he wound up a little sick. Blame the Race Team. You told them to keep an eye on him."
Murphy looks over at where Smokescreen and Arcee stand over the bed next to the one that he's on, then turns his gaze to the face of the little silver lady that curls sleeping on the foot of his bed, hugging her mentor's foot. Kia is in determined cling mode, even Fixer's application of fingers to her side hadn't managed to make her let go that foot.
The little black Minicon shakes his head and chirps softly to his pet glitchmouse, who is sitting cutely on his shoulder and watching the world, then thinks about all the things that have happened since the local Minicons snuck through the vents (which had opened after Random's hacking attempt) and loaded the shield generator facility with boom rocks before lighting a cap with a fuse and letting everyone on the outside that the place was going to blow. There had been getting himself clean, and supervising the carrying home of his astrotech friends. Then Mindmender had checked over Random's brain after giving him one of the few painkiller tabs that the other Minicons hadn't used for ammo while playing target practise with Autotrooper skidplates. The Minicon medic hadn't been too sure that she knew enough to repair the wound to Random's arm better than Arcee's hasty field patch, but then she hadn't needed to, because Smokescreen and Fixer had arrived. Mindmender and Fixer had greeted each other like the long lost friends that they apparently were, while Smokescreen hauled in a Jetfire who had passed out unnoticed in the middle of the village street from the overcharge he got after grabbing Random after he'd been shot. There had been sad Smokescreen guilt, and Murphy wondered where Liftor was, and why Arcee looked like she knew a secret.
And then there had been the shock of the big red and blue mech that Hot Shot had brought in. Galvatron was dead, his hold over the dark Prime was broken, and Optimus was himself again. Then the yellow jedi had recognized one of the recycled Autotrooper kids as somebody named Wheeljack and had been evicted from the guest house for bawling hysterically. And Sparkplug had climbed up Optimus and refused to budge as Fixer gave the restored Prime a checkup and some repairs.
Really, other than the fact that his astrotechs are hurt and/or unhappy, it's better than watching 'As The World Burns'.
