Elisa-garg's reality. Castle Wyvern. Seeking Chiyoko.

Midnight has passed, and a light snow is fluffing down on the castle battlements and piling up in soft drifts in the corners of the courtyard. Voices come distantly from within the castle. All is still otherwise.

And then a figure materializes on the wall. A giant of a man with scaly skin and a horned brow, he turns his head as though listening, his long tail sweeping away the snow.

Then he crouches and waits to be noticed.

She drops from one of the higher turrets of the castle, landing instantly in a fighting stance with her sword drawn. "You have seconds to explain yourself."

He turns his head and looks at her with calm golden eyes that seem to glow slightly.

-I am called Hunter,- comes a deep, gentle voice inside her mind. -Chiyoko is my friend, and I was hoping to see her.-

Katana did not lower her sword in the slightest. Though she was more often found in the role of doting mother or straight woman to her antic prone mate, she could just as easily be hard as steel when need be.

"Your friend from where, exactly?"

-We met in the Nexus. At a place called Zeeter's Bar.- He stays in the easy, non-threatening crouch, unwilling to tower over the woman.

Possible. And her warrior instincts aren't especially screaming at her for attention right now, so she cautiously lowers her weapon, but does not yet sheathe it.

"I do not believe she is in right now."

-Oh.- His broad shoulders, bare to the weather, slump with disappointment.

"Perhaps you would wish to come out of the cold, regardless? Some tea, perhaps?"

He blinks and looks around. -Err, yes, the cold. Tea sounds good. Thank you.-

Or perhaps he was much like Gargoyles, and did not feel the temperature drop unless it was truly cold.

Regardless, she bowed slightly. "I am Katana."

-Hello.- He straitens slowly, till the full seven foot of his frame is revealed. And his tail continues its restless movements. That tail is longer than he is.

If it were just about anyone else, they'd be showing surprise just now. But not Kat. She's much too collected for such.

"Come. I will show you to the kitchen."

-Thank you.- He leaps down from the wall, not even showing any shock from the landing, then waits for her politely.

Katana led the way to the kitchen and, once there, set about making the tea. "So..." she ventures, "how long have you been acquainted with Chiyoko?"

-Several weeks.- He looks around without using his eyes, then walks over and settles on one of the stools at the island, his tail whispering over the floor tiles as it lashes back and forth.

"Hmm." Katana made a small noise of interest as she worked. "I was beginning to worry she did not possess much talent for making friends. Save for Icy, she seems to be rather an abrasive personality."

Hunter blinks, looking astonished. -Abrasive? Chiyoko?-

"She is rather willful and resistant to authority at times. Elisa also mentioned that she seemed to interact rather poorly during with a friend of the Clans, during a... rather curious adventure."

-Are you certain it wasn't the friend who was at fault?- He frowns slightly.

"I was not there at the time, so I cannot speak fully too it, but Elisa certainly believed it to be the case. I will concede that it was a stressful time for all involved, however."

Hunter nods, then turns his attention toward the kettle as it starts to whistle.

Katana carefully turned the stove off and picked up the kettle, pouring the tea into the cups she had already lain on the island. "Sugar? Milk? Honey?"

Katana adds some honey to her own tea, and sips it gently. She lets out a small sigh of satisfaction.

Hunter takes a gulp of the hot liquid and thinks about it, then cradles the cup in his large hands.

"You said you met Chiyoko at a place in the Nexus. May I inquire as to the circumstances?"
