A Random Earth hotel living/sitting room

Logan whimpers and clings to the guy that's holding her, feeling like she's going to throw up after what ever just happened. Then the new smells hit her and she stiffens and opens her eyes to stare around at the unfamiliar room. Her head goes fuzzy suddenly as she looks and she feels her knees buckle.

Greg keeps a hold of Logan so she doesn't fall and guides her over so she's sitting down instead of standing up.

There's a sudden swish behind them that makes her moan with fear, and then Charlie gives a squeal of joy. "Unca Chardie!"

"Shh, Ben," rumbles a deep voice. "You'll scare Ama."

The baby looks at his mother, then hides his face in Ada's shirt.

House rubs Ben's back and simply looks towards the man since its the first time he's ever seen him.

Charlie is well over six foot tall and seems to be solid muscle. But his bright blue eyes show concern in his otherwise impassive coffee and cream face. "He won't be bothering anyone again."

"That's good." Not that he had any clue what the hell happened to begin with.

Charlie looks at Logan, who is slumped, half concious, against House. "A man named Nathanial Essex attempted to reprogram her mind and kidnap her. Right now she doesn't remember anything."

"We've gathered that much by the way she was acting." House states with a slight nod.

Charlie walks over and hunkers in front of them, rocking back slightly as Ben launches himself at him and clings to his black T-shirt. "Woah. Careful, little britches." He rubs the baby's back.

"You donna fix Ama?" begged Ben plaintively.

"I'm going to try very hard," rumbles Charlie, his hard voice gentle. "Here, you sit on the couch, or on your Ada, alright?"

"Ama needs Ada." Ben scrambled to a place on the cushions next to House and held his toes, his chin lowered to rest on Bob as the tribble clung to the front of his onsie.

House reaches over and rubs Ben's back but keeps an arm around Logan as well. He didn't like this.

Charlie gives Ben a reassuring smile, though he's not sure yet exactly what Sinister did. Then he glances at House before turning his attention to Logan and gently reaching out with his mind.

-Not a mind wipe, or only the start of one,- he thinks to himself in relief. -Just a glamour... alright, Logan, here goes.-

The small woman stiffens, her face clenched with pain.

"I've got you, Logan." House states kissing her cheek and just holding her.

She gasps, her breathing going ragged as her heartrate goes up, every part of her instinctively fighting the intruder in her mind.

Then she strikes back, claws out and embedded in Charlie's stomach before anyone, even herself, is aware of what she's doing.

"Ouch," he grits, continuing to undo the mess in her mind.

"Logan, he's tryin' to help. He's not hurting you." House states placing a hand on her arm.

"Don't make her pull them out. I'll hemorage before I can focuse on it." Charlie's face is a few shades paler as he throws up an illusion sheild to keep Ben from noticing what happened.

House gives a slight nod and just sits there comforting her.

Logan blinks as the pain eases and she realizes she's in an unfamiliar room with her claws.... "What the #@$%&??? Charlie?"

"Just leave them there a little longer," he says grimly.

Logan frowns at him, then looks up at Greg, feeling totally confused.

"It'll get explained in a bit, Logan."

Her frown increases, but she turns her eyes back to Charlie, feeling something happening in her mind.

Then Charlie falls back onto his butt with a hand pressed to his stomach and she's faced with the sight of his blood all over her claws.

She is sick, miserably and thoughroly so.

"You didn't mean to." House states gently.

"Get it off," she whispers, eyes squeezed shut and nose buried in the arm of the couch to try and escape the smell.

House finds whatever he can before getting the blood off her claws and sits back. "There you go, Logan."

The sick vanishes with a swish and a flash as Charlie pulls himself to his feet and rubs his stomach. "How do you feel, Logan?"

"Head hurts, gut hurts, heart hurts." She lays her head against House. "What happened?"

"Ama?" Ben peers around House, then scrambles over and snuggles close.

House looks towards Charlie. "Might be easier if you or Wolverine explain it."

Charlie nods, moving close and putting a hand on her knee as he sends comfort and eases her pain. "Someone tried to reprogram your mind. Wolverine caught them before they could do anything, and I've made it so no one else will be able to do anything like that again."

Logan listens, shaking. "What were they gonna do?"

"It doesn't matter, they didn't get to do it," says Charlie firmly.

"Don't give me that crap, bub!" She snarls. "What were they gonna do?"

House sighs and rubs Logan's back. At least no one could try pullin' that anymore. Wasn't Wolverine still with the young girl though? He looks over at Charlie though to see if he was going to give Logan the answer she wanted.
