Futureknight Universe - Fixing Chase

Jean had come to the Ramada Hotel long before her grandson. They were going to be fixing what had been done to the young doctor. She reached out with her mind and her powers making sure that everything was secure and that people couldn't interfere with what was about to happen.

We're ready when you're ready, Charlie.

She walks over to the other side of the room giving room for her grandson and the young doctor.

They appeare with a swish and a flash, the thirteen year old boy held close in the burly arms of the ageless guardian.

He pauses and 'looks' at the protective sheild around the room and nods in satisfaction, adding his own layer to it as he lets go of Robbie.

The Young chase nervously bit his lip, he really wished there was someone here, He wanted to be holding Jubilees hand, or his mums or......he sighed softly "Will this hurt?" he asked.

The red head looked over at Chase as her grandson and the young boy appeared. "No, Robert, it won't hurt." If anything she would make sure of that. She'd make sure that it wouldn't hurt.

"You'll be tired when it's done," rumbles Charlie, his deep voice gentle. "But Grandmother's good at keeping things from hurting." He points to the bed. "Do you want to lay down?"

"IS there a toy or something I can hug?" he asked going and sitting down. "I, I want to hold something" he said clearly frightened.

And Charlie had a point. She was good at keeping the pain at bay. If anything she allowed herself to feel the pain and it didn't much bother her. She walks over and kneels before Chase. "I'm sure there's something we can do for you on that note." She looks at her grandson and then looks back at Chase. "You've got no reason to be scared, Robert. We're going to take really good care of you."

Charlie reaches out with his mind past the sheilds and grabs the first comfort toy he finds, quickly transfering funds to pay for it as the animatronic Lhasa puppy appears on the bed beside Robbie and whimpers uncertainly.

He smiled scooping it up in his arms "Thankyou" he murmered softly. "Have you done this before?" he asked "I mean made some one old?" he bit his lip, "And the young mes just gone?"

"There is a lot that we've done, Robert." She states softly before getting up and kissing his forehead before stepping back. "The young you won't be here anymore. Just the older you. You'll be back to normal."

"You won't be gone." Charlie comes to sit next to him. "Everything that makes you Robbie will still be there. But everything else that makes you Dr. Chase will be there as well."

"It probably won't be the same, no. But us adults play and have fun too. So it won't be a total loss." She states watching him. "Everything will be fine."

Charlie nods. "I play. My wife and daughter and sisters see to it."

He gently squeezes Robbie's shoulder. "Ready when you are, son."

Jean walks over and stands next to her grandson giving a slight nod. It was now or never. She watches Chase, everything in her working to keep him from feeling any pain.

Charlie gently lays the boy down against the pillows and reaches out with his mind to link Jean's. Yes, he could do this on his own, but he's not fond of being snarked at by House, so Jean's in on this too. If House has anymore gripes he can take it up with her. And maybe be remade a nicer guy....

He's aware that Jean heard this.

Yes, she'd heard what was going on in her grandson's head and feeling him linked to her she opens her powers to him and wraps that power around Chase as well to prevent pain.

Charlie gently lays his hand on Robbie's forehead and sends the boy to sleep, then reaches out and starts the complicated reweaving, gently bringing back the lost body mass and memories.

She places a hand on Charlie's shoulder and places her free hand on Chase's hand. Robert would be fine. She could feel what Charlie was doing if only because they were linked.

I feel it, Charlie. She states before looking over at the sleeping Dr. Chase. At least he was better now. That's all that matters now. That the young man was better... back together.
