TG 'verse. Imperial Palace of Chaar. Ghost of Christmas Past.
Threnody stood in the empty office on Christmas day and remembered the year before:
"My lady, will you take this thing and hang it in Cyclonus' office?" Scourge held up something green and red and oddly textured.
Threnody took it and studied it. "Yes. ...What is it?"
"It's a Christmas decoration. Rodimus sent some as a gift."
"Christmas is tomorrow." The younger femme turned the ornament in her hands, watching the low light glint on the red balls on it. "I'll go put it up. And make sure that Cyclonus is alright."
Scourge grinned slightly, not bothered at all at being informed that her ploy had been discovered. But then she sobered. "He's been thinking of Galvatron."
Threnody nodded, her shoulders squaring unconciously as she was once more reminded of why she existed. "I'll put this where he'll notice it."
Cyclonus' office was quiet when she entered, and dark, but since the Galvatronians were used to lower light conditions anyway she didn't think the latter strange. What stopped her and made her spark quiver with dismay was the sight of her creator with his head laying on his desk, one hand partially in a puddle of spilled energon.
She stared at him for a moment, wishing that there was some way she could make him feel better, then looked at the thing in her hand. It was a random impulse, quickly executed, and Cyclonus did look a little more cheerful with the decoration on his horns....
