It's a quiet day in the Black Dog. None of Blackout's army is here today, none of Hormah's people are here today, no bots are trying Nemesis' patience, the puppies are sleeping, and all the resident sentient virii except for the one that looks like a cute busty Asian girl are raising pit somewhere else right now.

svKia rather approves of the quiet as she wanders into a place that she just barely remembers in dreams, smiling as she sees the things that haven't changed. Then she perks as a familiar voice calls her name. "Oh. Another me. How lovely."

The other Kia is of a tech similar to G1, though more slender, and her pale blue eyes are bright with wonder as she replies in the same soft Jamaican lilt. "I didn't realize I was so cute."

svKia laughs, then looks toward the red mech who is sharing the table with her alter sister. "Hello, Perceptor."

"Hello, Kia," comes the shy but friendly reply from the young scientist. "Won't you join us? We've asked for a large order of meganoodles with botcheese sauce."

"I love meganoodles." svKia settles in one of the two empty chairs, and then starts learning about her alter sister and Perceptor through conversation as they do the same to her.

"Are you sure you're all right?" the little blond haired girl in his hand asked again. "You're shaking."

That, and his systems were still trying to calm down after the pure shock of finding that she had teleported back to the Nexus with him. The rest of her “friends” were hopefully still back in the very tourist-trappy suburb of Portland, Oregon where he had deposited them after the ‘Con chase. The ‘Cons had been a bit tricky to ward off, but luckily, back up had arrived before the poor, craven shuttle mechanic became Swiss cheese a la Decepticons or short-circuited from sheer fright. So much for a 'quiet, boring, and peaceful' patrol in the suburbs. Cowardliness: 1, Wisdom of Autobot High Command: 0.

But it had all worked out. He and the kids were still alive, and he brought them back to their parents before they could get too worried. They had been grateful enough, all things considering, but he had left before too long, hoping for a chance to sit and think by himself before reporting back in with Prime.

So you can imagine his fright at discovering that, not only had one of the kids caught up with him, but that she had hitched a ride with him back to the Nexus.

"Y-yes. P-perfectly f-fine," Random stammered as he continued walking through the Nexus. He currently had no idea what to do. He probably should return her back to her parents, but . . . There was just something holding him back.

It has been a few weeks in his universe's time since he's been back to the Nexus. Having met with Blue a short time after the incident, he already knew that Blue and the others were no longer here.

Curse that blasted Decepticon.

He has various reasons for not returning to the Nexus until now. The one he'll most likely admit is the fact that the Ark's become a bit hectic as his reality's Earth 'Cons have kicked things up a notch and are taking full advantage of their turn on the 'boom' side of the war's boom and bust cycle. Okay, they haven't taken over the world or anything like that yet, but only at a heavy price for the Autobots stationed on Earth:

A busy medbay.

And when the medbay is busy, someone's gotta make sure technical stuff in the Ark gets checked over and fixed, which would be him.

On top of that, at some point, Random ate the last Sunrise Hormah gave him.

No, he can't remember when, and that bothers him.

He arrives in the part of the Nexus near the bar via his PINpoint. He takes in all of the sights of it, picking out what has changed and what has stayed the same. A moment's hesitation delays him before he walks through the door for the first time since he learned of the eventual change . . .

Random follows the larger mech with his passengers into the bar, not really wanting to be the first one in.

Once he is in, however, he looks around slowly, trying to be casual, but he ends up returning his gaze to a certain spot in one corner of the bar . . .

It was another late night for Random, another recharge-less night. It was on these nights that he got off his berth and walked down to the Engineering Labs to work on some unfinished project leftover from the day--or at least that's what he told whichever mech found him recharging in the lab one of those times when he was unable to make it back to his quarters.

As usual he had managed to pass through the quiet halls without being approached by the nightshift. ~~If Red Alert heard that, he'd freak.~~ However, when he opened the door to the lab and walked in, he found himself in a place that he didn't recognize as either Wheeljack's lab or the Ark.

At first he wondered if he'd missed a memo, like one saying "Wheeljack's working on something in his lab, ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK," and searched over his memory banks to find such of a memo as he glanced around the bar to prevent extra thinking. When he doesn't immediately find a memo, his 'oh great, just what I needed' attitude began to fade to outright panic. Before it spread too far, however, something in his mind made a connection between "bar"--which this place obviously was--and "Nexus."

Hmm. Maybe . . . ? He began to take his processors off of finding the memo and to set them to the task of thoroughly searching the bar for anyone he's seen before in the Nexus . . .
