The sun shone softly through sheer curtains, illuminating though not touching the two figures that lay on the bed, one under and one on top of the blankets. Black hair contrasted with white pillow linens, and soft breathing made slight movements.

Brenda snapped to wakefulness, then frowned without opening her eyes as she realized there were arms around her. She listened, then sniffed before moving experimentally.

"Er," he looked around, embarassed. "What do I do?"

She pointed to one of the changeroom doors. "Go and shower and change. Prudence will have set out something for you to wear."

"Oh, alright," he blinked, and went where he was told.

A slender young man with black hair and bright blue eyes looked up as he came in. "Brenda finally let you go?"

He blinked, then looked at him suspiciously. "You're that boy in tights," he said, looking him up and down.

"Says who?" he said good-naturedly, then straightened from tying his shoe and offered a hand. "Clark Kent."

Porthos looked at the hand for a moment, then took it slowly.

"Porthos," he said. "And you are."
