The sun shone softly through sheer curtains, illuminating though not touching the two figures that lay on the bed, one under and one on top of the blankets. Black hair contrasted with white pillow linens, and soft breathing made slight movements.

Brenda snapped to wakefulness, then frowned without opening her eyes as she realized there were arms around her. She listened, then sniffed before moving experimentally.

"Neither is mine," she said without looking up. "Don't worry. It's safe and there for when we next go out." Then she rolled the shirt up and flipped him with it.

He yelped, then blinked and grinned. "Aye, we'll go, together!"

"After we train some more." She rolled the shirt again and held it in both hands, circling and searching for an opening.

He smiled and took his hand, kissing her knuckles. "I look forward to it."

She felt a grin spread across her face and considered hugging him, but then remembered that he was only in his T-shirt and might not be comfortable. "Here, put on your shirt."

"Thank you," he said thankfully, blushing again slightly and pulling it on quickly.

"You look good." She did hug him then, squeezing his ribs as hard as she could.

"Oh," he grunted, chuckling even as he hugged back. "Quite a grip you've got."
