The sun shone softly through sheer curtains, illuminating though not touching the two figures that lay on the bed, one under and one on top of the blankets. Black hair contrasted with white pillow linens, and soft breathing made slight movements.

Brenda snapped to wakefulness, then frowned without opening her eyes as she realized there were arms around her. She listened, then sniffed before moving experimentally.

"Comes of plenty of training." She waited till his grip loosened slightly, then grabbed him hard in the ribs and darted away, seeming to vanish as she went through the door.

He yelped, then chased after her through the door, not sure where it was leading but not particulary minding.

Only she wasn't there. The small hallway that led to other rooms and back to the main part of the Cave was empty.

He blinked, then turned around, biting his lip. "Brenda? Brenda!"

"I'm back." She hurried through the door at the end of the hall. "Sorry, I wound up in the Cafe."

"Oh," he said, blinking, then jumping forward and tickling her mercilessly. "So glad you're back!"

"Yeow!" She gave him a smack and bolted back the way she'd come.

He jerked backwards and gasped, then chased after her. "Ho no, my Lady, no woman slaps Porthos the Pirate and merely runs off with no kiss in return!"

She went faster, darting toward the stairs and up them, then standing at the top to laugh.

He was panting slightly as he went up, but was still running, grinning as he stopped a few steps below her, looking up.

"There you are," he grinned.
