bittyBot 'verse. The Ark. Chibi the war.

Starscream grumbled and wriggled, feeling trapped by the weight of his friends and wanting free. Jazz murmured softly and patted him, and Ironhide grumbled and rolled over, and the tiny Seeker burst free of the snuggle pile and blinked around, then lay back against them with a sigh and snuggled as Ratchet's hand came down and rested on him.

Ratchet was half aware of Starscream fading back into recharge, and grinned as he checked to make sure that all three of his small charges were accounted for and resting peacefully on the berth beside him. The grin widened slightly as he felt Ironhide turn back and throw an arm over Starscream.

Then he sighed as the door to his quarters slid open slightly. "Don't disturb the chibis."

"Sorry," said Hound softly, peeking inside. "But Optimus wants you in the repair bay right away. I'll watch the little guys for you."

"What's wrong? Is there an emergency?" Ratchet was sliding off the end of the berth even as he asked the questions and paged Optimus over the communicator for details.

"No... well. Maybe. But no one's hurt." The tracker slipped into the room and then took the medic's place, one hand gently resting on the chibi pile as Starscream wriggled and grumbled again.

"Don't worry about Starscream wriggling around," said Ratchet, wondering at Optimus' response and why it sounded as though the Prime were amused. "He's a restless sleeper. But if you feel Jazz move, catch him."

"Or we'll be trying to figure out where he crawled off 'n passed out again." Hound chuckled and put his arm around the little ones, then switched his optics off with a contented sigh.

"Yeah." Ratchet sighed and dragged himself out of his comfortable sanctuary and into the harsh orange glare of the Ark, closing the door behind him. The repair bay was just around the corner....

There was a Seeker in his repair bay.

The medic stopped and frowned at Skywarp, wondering what right he had to be standing there with his back to the door and laughing when it wasn't his day for visiting with Starscream.

"NOOOOO!" said a gruff little voice from somewhere in front of the Seeker. "MINE!!"

Ratchet blinked and stepped around Skywarp, then gaped.

Standing on a repair table, his tiny legs braced as he gripped an open end wrench with both hands and scowled ferociously at Optimus, was ... a chibi Megatron. The Autobot Prime was tugging on the other end of the wrench as he chuckled at the little grey bot's fury.

"What... do I wanna know what happened?" Ratchet managed at last.

Skywarp glanced at him as Optimus straightened and turned toward him. "Remember how that pile of junk that used to be the chibi machine disappeared a few breems ago? Well Megs got the Constructicons to put it back together."

"Primus... help us," said Ratchet, facepalming.

Skywarp paused to guffaw, hands on his chassis as though he'd been laughing a lot lately and was in danger of shaking something loose.

"And he activated it." The CMO walked over to look at the new chibi, who was beating the wrench against the repair table with a look of intense concentration. "But we can't put him with the others!"

"Don't worry." Skywarp managed to get himself under control. "Soundwave says he'll take care of him, even though Ravage seems to think he's a kitty crunchy. We just wanted to show you that the war's pretty much over."

"Pretty much?" Optimus couldn't resist poking his minimized foe.

"NO!" Megatron scowled at him and tried to whack him with the wrench.

"Yeah, the Stunticons are kind of on the warpath. When I left they and Devastator were duking it out." Skywarp looked amused by the news. "The others might have to find somewhere else to live after this."

"The others?" Ratchet snagged the wrench and put it into subspace, then winced and produced a shiny bit of chrome as Megatron started to howl.

"Yeah." Skywarp gave Optimus a challenging look. "Thundercracker and I are moving here. Screamer needs us."

Ratchet nearly pointed out that the little Seeker was quite content with his new brothers, but then he remembered the tears that always followed the end of any of Skywarp's visits. Instead he looked at Optimus as he let Megatron snatch the chrome from him.

"Mine!" The former Decepticon warlord fell onto his back, hugging the bit of shiny metal gleefully.

Optimus' fingers twitched slightly, but then he straightened up and looked at Skywarp. "You want to join the Autobots?"

"No. But if that's what it takes we'll do it."

"Shockwave won't step in and carry on in Megatron's name?"

"What Shockwave doesn't know can't hurt him." The Seeker's grin was sheer rottenness. "Soundwave says to leave the purple freak to him."

Optimus frowned slightly and leaned his skid plate back against the next repair table, arms crossed over his chest. "What about your loyalty to your leader?"

The grin faded. "Megatron was good for the fights, but he never really did anything else except make the energy shortage worse."

"No!" Megatron looked up from snuggling his shiny, scowling.

Skywarp ignored him. "The slagging machine blew up again, or I'd say use it on Shockwave and the Stuntidopes too. Then everybody's happy and everybody's got enough energy."

"Aren't you supposed to be the stupid Seeker?" asked Ratchet rhetorically.

Skywarp shrugged. "Stupid is as stupid does. Even I can see this works out for everybody."

He looked down at the chibi wriggling around on the table, then scooped him up in one hand. "Think about it. Soundwave can be reached on this frequency, and TC and I will be back by tonight."

"I will," said Optimus gravely, his brow plates drawn together in thought. "Thank you, Skywarp."

The Seeker just snorted, then saluted as he once would have done to the mech who now snuggled against his chest plate and turned to stride from the room.
