Katydid looks around curiously as they leave the more lived in parts of the Nexus and enter a world of red rock badlands, her brown optics brightening and her antennae twitching. It's a strange place to a little bug who lives in a swamp, but it also looks like the kind of place that a Seeker would like to live.

Except maybe Sundog. He's looking around warily from where he's being held in Kickback's arms, his ruby optics huge in his thin face as he eyes the open sky above them uneasily.

*Kickback walks over and nudges the seekerling* Don't be all high an mighty kid. It's okay to ask for help every now and then. *he gently steadies the smaller youngling*

*He blinks at Damion* ...giant...bunny? *yeah he's trying to picture that*

"Uh...." Daimon grins sheepishly. "Yeah. I actually have a rabbit that is big and tough enough that your larger guys could keep him as a pet without worrying about squishing him. *he digs out a photograph of Said Bun (with Daimon, his son and Miriam leaning against him)* and shows Sundog and Katy.

"Geese...are...well, big water birds. They will kill and eat snakes, they will chase off cats and foxes, and they eat...grass, mostly. Some human cultures have used them as watch animals.

"As for me, I said I'd help, and the only regular inhabitants are my son and one student."

Katydid looks at the picture with wide, interested optics, then glances at Sundog who has frowned at it and then turned his attention back to Daimon as he talks.

"Snakes taste pretty good," says Skywarp absently, then keeks with alarm and leaps into the air as Sundog totters. "Kickback, get him!"

Sounds okay. A nice secure kind of place...as long as I don't get attacked by geese *of course his version of attacking isn't necessarily the same as others...birds tend to aggravate him a little*

*Kickback was for once grateful for his quick reflexes as he snatched the youngling up stopping him from falling and holding him carefully providing the support for the youngling to lean on.* Gotcha. You okay? *he asked though to whom was left ambiguous.*

"Mostly, they follow my son around trying to catch his tailwind when he flies. So, as long as you watch for them while you're taking off, you should be fine..." Daimon thought about it and nodded. "OK. I don't know how much that you'll be able to explain to the Missus, but I can help transfer the nest tomorrow if you wish."

Sundog leans against Kickback, his optics dark as he cycles air deeply.

"I think I'm tired," he admits softly, avoiding Katydid's frown.

Skywarp looks at him worriedly, then turns back to Daimon from where he's now sitting on the ground. "I can try to make her understand you're safe. But she's scared of a lot now."

Then he looks back at his son. "Kickback, take him home. This is too much for him."

Sundog wants to argue the fact, but he's switching into sleep mode despite himself.

*Kickback nods in reasurance and picks him up* I think you over did it kid *he mutters softly*

Yeah I think it's best. If you want us to come visit let us know, we usually hang out in the nexus often enough so getting a message to us shouldn't be too bad. *he replied to Skywarp*

*He smiles at the kid and shakes his head* You know I'm beginning to see who he takes after *he adds with a snicker* Comeon Katy say your goodbyes I think we'd better get going soon.

"You got it," Daimon replied, looking both hopeful--and a bit worriedly at the kids. "I'll come out tomorrow, once Miss Falcon's had some time to calm down."

"Yeah," says Skywarp absently to Kickback. "He's just like Sunstreaker that way."

Then he turns back to Daimon, his feathers fluffed just slightly with concern. "Okay. I'll be on the lookout for you."

Katydid, meanwhile, softly says good bye to Daimon and Skywarp from where she's once more hiding behind her mentor's back. And Sundog's sound asleep and snuggled against Kickback, a little frown on his face.

*Kickback blinks* So did not need that mental picture *he replies in a suitably theatrical tone*

*With that Kickback turns to walk back into the nexus...he's not going to pinpoint out too close to the birds. Largely due to the fact that he's not too keen on getting yelled at if he accidentally scares Sunstreaker* Oh before I go any messages for anyone back home you want me to deliver? *he asks over his shoulder*

Daimon shrugs. "Nothing on my end. Most of the guys I know are regulars at the bar anyway."

He scrubs his face, peering off into the distance at the nest. Considering her temper, it's a good thing I regenerate!

"Nah," says Skywarp. "Let TC wonder."

*Kickback nods at Damion and grins mischievously at Skywarp* Gotcha. Okay see ya around then *and with that he walks off...he'll pinpoint out when he feels he's gone far enough*

Daimon looked at the falcon. "I'll drop by tomorrow round midafternoon, before evening hunting-time. That work all right?"
