Z'verse 3. Zoe's Room . Second Day of Shopping.

Ghosts don't really need to recharge.

Swindle was still getting used to that fact when he turned the emitter back on with the first rays of light. Being 'awake' didn't bother him so much, he had plans and ideas to keep his mind occupied.

"Odd I recharge in the Dream, but not here," he said to himself, as he glanced over from where he sat, watching Zoe and Silver still snoozing away.

She turns them over, rattling to herself softly. "These things are new... is there still a place on this world where this sort of thing is being created?"

"Not that I know of," Swinidle says, though to him they're more like 'not used yet' than new. Subspace is good for that. He notes he took out the calculator and the vice-thing. He has no clue what the vice-thing does, really, "From a different world."

More rattling. "Can you get more?"

There's urgency in the flat mechanical voice, and the little lights on her... head... thing... are blinking.

"Of that particular item, or similar?" Swindle asks, "I can get similar pretty easy..." Swindle checks his pack for other similar stuff.

"...Any sort of circuits and such technology." Her lights blink more agitatedly as she grips the calculator and clamp thinger possessively.

"Well, that leaves...this whatever out..." Swindle still doesn't have a clue what the lamp is, "Ah..." He pulls out a toy truck, a tiny CD player, and some remotes that don't go to anything...

"When do you want your fireworks show? And will dek be acceptable for covering the difference?"

The remotes and CD player are seized and examined, but she shys away from the truck. It looks like it could be somebody already.

"When?" Swindle asks, "Give me juust a few klik...a minute," Swindle goes 'still' as he leaves the hologram and refocuses himself within the emitter.

"Zoe?" Swindle asks, "You have a time when we'll be back at Dalla's? Got something I'm planning..."

She startles slightly and looks up from the coloured leather she's looking at. "When you're done shopping and sight seeing, I suppose."

"Couple hours, then?" Swindle says, "Want it to happen before we get back..." Then explains the fireworks show quickly. He didn't want to keep the hologram in park for very long.

"She might not be able to make something really spectacular in that much time," warns Zoe. "They have to prepare the chemicals and such. Things don't come ready made here."

"True, and...when's nightfall?" Swindle asks. Fireworks were better in the dark anyway, so he heard.
