TFA 'verse. Detroit. Autobots now fly and Sentinal can't drive in the rain.
"Typical Cybertronian, can't even drive in the rain." Ratchet pulled close to the running bot, then swerved away as Sentinel skidded out in a puddle and hit his face. "...Hah! You can't even walk!"
"Sorry, my bad!" Bandit winced slightly as she ran over the prone Prime.
* * *
"You did that on purpose! But that's just what I expect from a lousy cut-rate garbage bot!"
Jazz yawned from where he leaned against the wall next to Prowl and tuned out Sentinel's continuing rant toward the oblivious Bandit, who was busy gently pressing out some dents for Bumblebee with her thumb as Ratchet supervised. "Ten to one she does it again before we get our orders 'n move out?"
"No bet," said Prowl calmly, his mouth tilted in a little smirk. "She's rough around the edges, but she won't deliberately disobey Optimus."
"Hmmmm." Jazz watched as Optimus and Bulkhead both took the blue Elit Guard loudmouth to task. "So where's your lil' friend, Sari? 'N didn' I hear Bulkhead wasn' the only one that got hitched?"
"Sari is resting and recovering from a recent injury." Prowl's smirk grew a little as Bumblebee suddenly had a flailing giggle fit over being poked in a ticklish place.
Then he moved away from the wall and dropped his voice slightly. "Come with me."
Jazz gave him an intrigued look and went silently, though his optic band was bright with curiosity as he walked next to the slighter mech.
Prowl continued silent till he'd lifted the door to his own room, but then he spoke softly. "Koko, we have a visitor."
Jazz's expression showed confusion as he took in the tall, black-haired human woman who looked up from where she'd been sitting cross-legged on a mat in the shadow of the tree that grew through the floor and ceiling. The confusion increased as Prowl stepped into the room and the woman came to meet him, putting her arms around his neck as he lifted her and gave her a quick kiss.
"Close the door," requested the golden ninja, turning to look back to the Elit Guardsman. Once Jazz had done so he turned to face him fully. "Jazz, I would like you to meet Kokojin O'Shaunesee. My wife."
"Your... hey, ain't that the human word for.... You and an organic??" Jazz looked a little brain broken. "Wait... how does that work. Humans don't got sparks."
"I do," said Koko softly. "The story of how it happened is too long and too strange to believe, but it happened. I'm human, but I'm also Cybertronian."
"Whoa.... Wait, I heard somethin' about temporal anomalies, 'n weird stuff goin' down. Did it have somethin' to do with that?"
"In a way," Prowl decided, gently cradling his sparkmate in the crook of one arm.
"Freaky, man." Jazz managed a grin. "But how did you two wind up gettin' together? Where'd ya meet?"
"I ran a dojo," said Koko. "Prowl wanted to learn some of the human martial arts disciplines and came to see me. We found that we had many similar interests, and the teacher/student relationship grew into friendship."
"And then to love." Jazz shook his head. "Funky. But I dig it."
Koko and Prowl smiled and invited him to come and sit and visit, and the black and white ninja did so till Sentinel finally got tired of being a skidplate and ordered he and the Jets back to the ship.
