Dalla looks around the busy factory room, her expression showing her satisfaction as the human workers busily grind rock and mix gum and have the occasional argument with their protective gear.

"This makes me very happy," she says to the mech who is there in the interests of taste testing.

"You're right. He could." Dalla pauses.

"Who is Swindle?" asks Ran curiously.

"Swindle's another Cybertronian," Blitzwing says, "Unlike me, he's offline...dead, a ghost. He has a shell he can possess, but he can drop it when needed."

"I don't understand," says D'rng'tla. "If he's dead, how is he still speaking and walking?"

"We don't know," Blitzwing says, "It's not very common at all for sparks to stay behind instead of going on to the Well."

"What are sparks?" asks the big man, his head tilted with interest.

"Sparks are makes us...us," Blitzwing says, "I think the closest work might be..soul...but ours is visible within us."

"But...." D'rng'tla looks at his wife again, then to the others of his group. "Doesn't 'soul' just mean a living being?"
