ANH 'verse. The Death Star. Waiting . . . waiting . . .

Random turns the swivel chair back and forth, back and forth. 'Lock the door,' they said! 'Hope they don't have blasters,' they said! Well, the door is locked, and the Astrotroopers certainly have blasters! It is just going be only a matter of time before they discover that fact and try to blast the door open!

On top of that it turns out Princess Arcee is here. In the detention block. Awaiting termination. Jetfire and Hot Shot are seeing if they can prevent that. Nobody else from the ship was listed in the computer's databanks though.

Random stops moving the chair like an irritated organic does its tail, sighs, and rubs his face, grieving the loss of his crewmates.

She gets up so that she can hug him, then looks up and asks quietly, "Do you think we should go back to the Falcon?"

Random puts the arm not holding the gun around her. "Sitting around here is as dangerous as it is there, I suppose. We should probably be thinking about returning at some point, and I'm not sure if they'll be able to return to this room for."

Kia nods. "If we're already there it won't take as long for us to go after Scavenger turns off the tractor beam. And...." A little frown of concern. "The Minicons might be worried."

"That they might," he agrees. "Though I'm not sure if we'll actually be able to get back on the ship if they are too many Astrotroopers in the hangar and Jetfire and Hot Shot aren't there yet."

"We can't use the maintenance tunnels?" Kia's surprise at this is great.

[astrotechmech]

"'Maintenance tunnels'?"

[random_xtras]

"The little corridors... like on our ship? This one hasn't got them?"

[astrotechmech]

"It probably does," he says, looking slightly confused, "but I don't see how that will solve the whole 'too many Astrotroopers in the hangar' problem."

"Oh... you're right." She frowns a little, unconsciously snuggling him as she thinks.

[astrotechmech]

Random rubs her back comfortingly. "But it would be away to avoid them in the halls, as long as there weren't other 'bots in there and if we didn't get lost ourselves."

[random_xtras]

"And then we'll be closer to the ship than we would be if we stay here." She perks up.

[astrotechmech]

"That's true," he agrees.
