Random turns the swivel chair back and forth, back and forth. 'Lock the door,' they said! 'Hope they don't have blasters,' they said! Well, the door is locked, and the Astrotroopers certainly have blasters! It is just going be only a matter of time before they discover that fact and try to blast the door open!

On top of that it turns out Princess Arcee is here. In the detention block. Awaiting termination. Jetfire and Hot Shot are seeing if they can prevent that. Nobody else from the ship was listed in the computer's databanks though.

Random stops moving the chair like an irritated organic does its tail, sighs, and rubs his face, grieving the loss of his crewmates.

Those wide pale optics focus on his faceplates as she absorbs the data, and then she has a concerned question.

"If I do that it will hurt someone, won't it?"

"Yes," he sighs, "but I'm hoping that you'll only need to use it in a worst case scenario . . . Like if something were to happen to me."

Here is a wibble, and small arms closing in a tight hug.

"Shh, shh. It's only the worst case scenario, he says softly, rubbing her back. "As long as we don't draw attention to ourselves, we should be fine."

"We...." She stifles a sob, still holding onto him. "We're good at being invisible."

[astrotechmech]

"That we are." He continues to rub her back.

"And... and we have somebody big on our side...."

[astrotechmech]

Random pauses in his rubbing as he thinks about who she's talking about before he resumes the rubbing. "Yes, we have Him."

[random_xtras]

"So we'll be safe." Her expression lightens, shining with confidence. "We'll be alright."

[astrotechmech]

"Yes," he says, still rubbing her back, but with regret hands her the gun for her to put away. "But from what I remember Sneaker telling me about Him, He helps the prepared. Do you have somewhere to put this?"

She nods and lets go of him to open a panel on her side, revealing a couple tools, and a bright little gimcrack doll that someone back on their ship gave to her.

[astrotechmech]

"It's turned off now, so it shouldn't go off accidentally . . ." He trails off when he sees the doll, wondering about it briefly and then realizes who must have given it to her. The poor romantic of a Security mech. There is going to be no femme or creation for him now.
