"This from the mech who parked in a giant space worm's belly?"

"I was a little outta it at the time, in case you hadn't noticed, Princess."

Kia looked up as a boom rang through the hold. "That panel doesn't go there, Hot Shot."

"What?" The yellow mech looked at her. "No way! I was sure it went here."

The young femme shook her head seriously, then winced as Jetfire banged another panel against a spot on a wall opposite to the one it was supposed to be attached to.

"What, we have two junior jedi?" The white and red mech narrows one optic incredulously.

Random looks over at Hot Shot for the answer.

[random_xtras]

"We don't have any jedi." The young mech doesn't look up from what he's tinkering with. "I'm just a learner, and Kia...."

He glances over at the slender sleeper. "She's just special."

Jetfire looks down at she and Random. "Doesn't the special little flower sleep on a berth?"

All Jetfire gets in reply is a glare. One in the same vein as one that an organic might do when telling another organic to back off.

"Don't worry," says Arcee sweetly. "I'm sure Airazor will be glad to snuggle you if you're jealous."

Jetfire's optics widen and he shivers. "Don't even joke about that!"

Random chuckles at that.

Jetfire grumbles and goes to the parts pile.

And Hot Shot finishes installing the panel that gave him so much trouble, and then looks around before grabbing another and heading for the opposite wall.

Arcee watches them, then leans over and looks at Kia. "Is that why you hold her so often? Because of her age?"

Random looks at her blankly, and then looks down quizzically at Kia. He looks back up at her. "You know what? I don't know."

"Well... does she ask you to do it?"

[astrotechmech]

Random looks like he doesn't remember how she got into his arms in the first place. "Not recently. It just happens."

[random_xtras]

"What would happen if you put her down?"

"Minicons would sleep with her." Hot Shot passes by heading for something else to fix.

Then she'd just reach to try to cuddle again is what Random was going to say, but Hot Shot's answer was . . . Well, hmm.

Both would have been true.

Random shifts her weight around to ease the stress on his recently repaired arm.

Arcee's confused by the answer. "What?"

[astrotechmech]

"They won't. Leave. Her. Alone," Random mutters as an explanation.
