"Foolss, they're going to lose the beast." Dinobot hissed softly as he watched the two young human males battle the massive bull deer, then rose to his feet and started over the slight rise he'd been peering over. And then he hissed with surprise as teeth closed on his tail and abruptly halted his movement. "Sssss! Slag it, female! What are you doing!?"

Lockjaw let go of him and tilted her head, her green-gold eyes stern.

"I was not showing off." He growled and flicked his tongue irritably. "I was going to show them how to properly kill their prey."

Lockjaw shook her head and hissed softly, her expression growing more stern.

"Why am I explaining this to you anyway? Interfering female...." Ack! Snuggle...? Dinobot paused in mid angry-tirade to look down at her, and then nuzzled her despite himself. "I am still angry with you."

She tilted her head sideways to look up at him with one eye, then turned and looked toward the hunters, who had the deer down and were now laughing and dancing and hugging each other.

He watched them, his expression thoughtful as he saw the point she'd been trying to make.

"I undersstand." He looked down at her again. "I would not like to have my own victories snatched from me. You were right. This time."

She hissed and bit him, then took off along the ridge with him in pursuit, their raptor forms looking strangely incongruous with the world around them. The two young men glanced up and saw them, then called and waved before returning to their kill.

"...Nearly as annoying as the Vermin...." Dinobot's voice drifted back to them before the two Maximals disappeared over another rise.
