ANH 'verse. Alderaanian space. Something's missing....

"You got the coordinates wrong!" says Jetfire to his tiny navigator, only to cringe before the torrent of angry beeping that the little gold and white femme gives him. "Airazor, the kid can understand you! Okay fine! Then where is it?"

"Where indeed?" Scavenger is frowning through the viewscreen, his optics tracking the swarm of asteroids that have taken the place of the planet Alderaan, and then flicking to Kia as she stirs and hugs herself uncertainly.

A Couple Hours Later and HE'S STILL THERE!

Random isn't sure how much more of this he could take! Seriously! How long can a 'bot just stand there!

At this rate by the time he got back to the Rebel Base, he'd be thrown into solitary confinement in order to protect the public from his newly twisted mind!

He is having to tell himself NOT to flinch, NOT to speak, NOT to scream, NOT to move, and NOT to do anything that could give away his, Kia's and Murphy's hidding spot. It did NOT help that Murphy was continually making 'shhh' signs at him and HE CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! He wants to just bang his head against the wall to put an end to it, but he can't because that would be making NOISE! If she was here and if she wasn't dead, he'd be giving Arcee a piece of his mind!

It was amazing how Kia was just sleeping through all this. Surely, his worries would carry through his systems despite his attempts at remaining silent?

At one point in the agonizing wait it had seemed that footsteps had walked away softly, but still the Minicon at his side had signaled him for silence.

Finally, however, more footsteps approach, and Murphy suddenly starts beeping softly and excitedly as he pats Random's knee in earnest.

And Kia wakes and blinks and looks around disorientedly.

Random lets out a sigh at Murphy's beeping. If it was still dangerous, Murphy wouldn't be beeping at him.

Random looks down at Kia. "Good morning."

"Is it morning?" She pushes away a little to rub her optics free of possible dust, then gives a little giggle as Murphy suddenly climbs up him to stand on his head and push at the access panel, still beeping earnestly.

"It depends on the planet being referenced but I--Hey! Murph! Watch where ya steppin'!"

The panel lifts then, and Jetfire laughs softly at where he sees his little partner standing. "Hey, did Random tell ya you could do that?"

Murphy just beeps some more as he scrambles out and climbs the white mech to sit happily on his shoulder.

"You ready ta come out, or you too comfy in there?" Jetfire grins down at Random and Kia, his optics twinkling above his mask.

Random can't help but at least flinch when the panel opens. His systems racing momentarily until he lets in a large amount of air into his intakes and releases it.

"Define 'comfy'" Random says without amusement as he attempts to get to his feet.

Jetfire just chuckles again and reaches into the hidden hold. "Gimme your hand."

Kia, meantime, is scrambling to her feet with a thoughtful look in her big optics.

Random turns to Kia and is about the help her get out first when he notices her look. "Kia?"

She looks up at him. "Do you think... this is the ship that got ours? It... there's the same feeling in the air...."

[astrotechmech]

"I have no idea, Kia," he says as he lifts her up to allow her to get out. "It's definitely Imperial though, or we wouldn't have hid. Jetfire, any ideas?"

"I know it's bigger than any ship's got a right to be," says the captain, lifting Kia and setting her on her feet as Hot Shot wanders in. "And the little people aren't too happy about it."

[astrotechmech]

Random thinks on that. "Then it probably wasn't the same. The ship that attacked ours was pretty normal for an Imperial craft."

Random reaches up to get out the hole himself.
