ANH 'verse. Alderaanian space. Something's missing....

"You got the coordinates wrong!" says Jetfire to his tiny navigator, only to cringe before the torrent of angry beeping that the little gold and white femme gives him. "Airazor, the kid can understand you! Okay fine! Then where is it?"

"Where indeed?" Scavenger is frowning through the viewscreen, his optics tracking the swarm of asteroids that have taken the place of the planet Alderaan, and then flicking to Kia as she stirs and hugs herself uncertainly.

"You can do anything. Except open silicon lubricant jars." She offers a tremulous smile.

"Well, yes. Didn't help that there was stuff on my hands and on the jar . . ." Cover up? Maybe, maybe not.

"The Minicons used to skate on it, remember?" her mouth twitches at the memory.

"Hey!" says Jetfire as he returns. "Don't give 'em ideas!"

"Oh yes, I remember . . ."

"They already have ideas," he reminds Jetfire. "Ones that don't do your ship any good. You got the projectors?"

"Nah, I decided to pick a few daisies instead," snarks the shuttle-bot, tossing something over to Hot Shot, who fumbles a bit before looking it over closely.

Kia is now frowning her little frown at Jetfire as she hugs Random.

Random frowns in reply though he knows he probably deserved it, unconsciously rubbing Kia's back reassuringly.

Jetfire is impervious to Random's frown, but when he glances up from tinkering with his holo-projector and sees Kia's he feels guilty. "Sorry, techmech."

"'Sall right." Terse. He will probably continue rubbing Kia's back until the other two are ready to go.

Before too long there are two Astrotroopers standing and cheerfully insulting each other's lack of ability to hit a target. They sound eerily in character.

Then Jetfire turns to Random. "You two're gonna have to change your badges."

A shiver runs down Random's spinal relays . . .

The dark, foreboding, black and circular shape of the Imperial symbol overcomes Random's diminishing Rebel symbol centimeter by centimeter until it is no longer there. "Done." Mwahahaha! The Dark Side had Sunrises!
