Hunter-verse Where the hell did the kid go?

Dean had gotten up in just enough time to find that it was too quiet in the hotel room that he shared with Mary and his brother, Sam. He scowls slightly and shakes his head. "Sam where the hell is she?"

"I don't know, Dean. I'm not the one who lost her." Sam states with a slight shrug.

He glares at his baby brother before getting up and heading around the hotel room. He shakes his head and checks the bathroom last. He was starting to get a bit agitated that he couldn't find her. He really was. She wasn't supposed to leave the damn room.

"Yes, sir." She squares her shoulders, feeiling a little relieved, though some tears have escaped to run down her cheeks. Right now she didn't really feel like going anywhere anyway.

He wipes the tears away. "Come on. You've not properly met Sammy boy."

"It's Sam, Dean."

"Shut up, geek." Dean says with a smirk.

She wraps her arms around herself and turns to look at this younger version of her uncle, the tears coming a little faster as she remembers how hers had always been there for her nearly as much as her dad had. "Hey."

Sam gives her a slight nod. "Hey"

Dean watches the two of 'em and shakes his head a bit.

"You look different from the dude at the Cafe."

"Dude at the Cafe?"

Dean laughs. "He's never been to the cafe save once I think."

"Yeah." She leans against Dean unconciously. "A guy who stayed at school."

Dean raises a brow and watches Sam's expression trying not to laugh.

"Huh... weird thing to do. I'd rather be on the road with Dean."
