Kia's hugging Murphy like a big doll when Random gets back from his unexpected trip, her voice soft and sleepy as she tells the little black Minicon one of the stories that Scavenger told her while he was with them. It's a comforting tale about a brave hero who led the Transformer people to freedom and taught them to respect other living beings. She doesn't know why the story of Optimus Prime makes Primus so sad, but she can feel him encouraging her as she tells it.

"I like him," she decides, hugging the toy close as she leans against Random.

He gives her a little smile and rubs her back.

"So what did you get?"

[astrotechmech]

"I don't know yet," he answers honestly, pulling his Christmas bag back onto his lap with the intent of opening. "Let's find out."

The little silver femme gives an excited wriggle, then leans over curiously with her wide optics fixed on the bag.

Random chuckles before pulling on the sides of the bag's opening to loosen the drawstring holding it shut.
