Hunterverse, somewhere on the road to check out a report
Mary is sitting contentedly slumped in the back seat of the Impala sucking the salt off the pistachio nuts that she couldn't crack and staring out the window with that blankness known only to teenagers and eccentrics, thinking of this and that, when she suddenly asks, "Hey, Uncle Dean, what was her name?"
Dean blinks witout looking away from the road. "Who's name?"
"The girl you met at the Cafe."
"Why?"
Mary spits a saltless nut into her hand and replaces it with a fresh one. "Just wondering"
"Echo," said Dean.
Mary blinks. "What kind of name is that?"
"Names or the meaning behind 'em don't matter."
Mary shrugs. "Was she nice?"
"Yeah."
Mary changes pistacios again. "Did you get her number?"
Dean chuckles. "Don't need a number when I can easily meet 'er at the cafe again or leave a note for her there."
"So you wanna see her again!" says Mary gleefully. "She's gotta be nice."
Sam groans.

Sam shook his head. "Dean, do you always have to find romance in everything you do?"
"Of course. Have to keep things livened up, Sammy."

Eyes wide, she sinks down lower in her seat and pitches a nut at the back of Sam's head, making sure that she sees where it lands so that she doesn't mess up the car.

"Make a mess in the car and you're both cleaning it up."

"You'll see when we get there, Dean."
"Well, tell me where there is first you dork." Dean says with a roll of his eyes.
