Mary's standing by Dean, the two of them are watching as Sam gets information for their latest case from the guy behind the counter at the department store. She yawns hugely and feels in her pocket for beans, but finds only her Epi-pen.

Grumbling, she looks around for something else to divert her attention and quirks an eyebrow at a display of Bratz dolls. Smirking at the tarty clothes and freaky faces, she steps over to look more closely. Something down at the bottom of the display catches her attention then and she hunkers down, only to come face to face with the biggest Bratz baby doll she's ever seen. She stares at it for a few moments, reminding herself that she hates dolls and it's sketchy.

Then she sighs and stands up to return to Dean. "Can I have thirty bucks?"

Mary grins at him as the guy scowls and rings the doll through, then turns back as the guy says. "Starting your Christmas shopping?"

"Nah." She shrugs one shoulder. "Late birthday present. I just turned twelve on halloween."

Well, that gives Dean an idea of when her birthday was. "Ain't really any of your business what it is we're doing." The guy had a simple job to do. Asking questions about Mary or about what they were purchasing or why wasn't one of them.

"I don't need a bag." She takes the box back and hugs it, then turns toward Dean, smirking inwardly as the poor clerk turns red as a beet.

The older Winchester looks towards the boy before leading Mary outside to the Impala.

She stops as they pass a trash can. "Should I take her out of the box before we get in the car? I don't wanna make a mess." Then she frowns and looks down at her prize. "But then I'd have to carry her around in public...."

"That's completely up to you, Mary." Dean states. "You can either leave her in there or take 'er out."

"We've got trash bags in the car." She turns toward it.

"We do." Dean states before heading out to the Impala with her.

She climbs into the back seat and shuts the door, then starts fiddling with the box without bothering to fasten her seatbelt. "Uncle Sam, you wanna hand me a trash bag?"

"You need your seatbelt on too, kiddo." Dean states even as Sam hands her a small trash bag.
