Pawlike feet, twiglike fingers with heavy claws, tail something like an Irish Setter's which is often wrapped around the waist by some individuals, narrow manes of hair going down middle of back and backs of arms and legs. Hair is soft and tends to cling to things as though alive. Face like a classical statue. Body well built and shapely. Ears long, narrow, pointed, and mobile, used to express feelings instead of facial expressions. Teeth are pointed but not overly pronounced. Hair, eyes, claws and wings are usually a different colour from body, and usually all the same colour. Adults have massive bat/dragonlike wings with a light scattering of tiny irridescent scales on the arm area. Each wing is longer than the Fee itself. Adults also have a softly glowing vein down the underside of each arm that ends in a slight dimple at the base of the palm. They can produce from this vein and dimple a jet of liquid fire, and are capable of shooting this at great force and distance. They are incredibly strong (able to easily fly with a city bus) and invulnerable to nearly everything but heartbreak or their ownselves. Schattenfeen also have an enhanced rate of healing and the ability to travel through the shadows.
