Nexus. Blue's Bar. First meeting with someone you know.

Blackout looks around the little hole in the wall bar as she leads Skywarp in, ignoring Blue's warning look from where the femme was talking to a table full of Minibots. Said Minibots are the only other customers right now except for that crazy girl that hangs out with the crazy little Decepticon that turns into a boat with wheels.

"Booth in the back?" she asks her companion, turning to look down at him.

"No." She settles Scorponok on her shoulder and stands, arms crossed over her chest as her mouth twitches at the mockery. "I know that."

"You shouldn't jump to conclusions about your opponent." Skywarp gets up in an easy motion, then moves past her. His turn to pick a battlefield.

Now, the question is just how accurate her information might be...

"Just make sure we're out of range of Blue's. She's worse than viral rust when she's slagged off." She looks around as they step out of the bar and then drops Scorponok on the ground/floor and tells him to lay low.

Skywarp laughs, though whether it's at Blackout's caution or the fight he anticipates isn't clear. His pace quickens abruptly as he transforms, engines firing up.

He's vaguely aware of the movement as Blackout parts company with her little friend - he must ask about that, as well as everything else - but he's more concerned with the 'copter herself as he leads them up and away from the bar.

Well, it might not get hit. He's not making any promises.

"Well of course you'll have the advantage up here," she notes mildly as a powerful leap brings her above him and a whisper and clicking of metal changes her to the big military copter. A mighty engine sets her rotors to spinning as she asks conversationally, "Do you ever canyon run?"

"Do I look like I'm stopping?" He scans her vehicle form as he considers her question. "When I've got the time, and a canyon long enough." The jet twists in an idle roll before admitting, "It's been a long time."

"There are canyons just to the east of here. They used to be overrun with Autobot punks, but now they're pretty good." She coms to Scorponok to head for those canyons and home as she falls in next to the dark jet, absently contemplating the way he moves through the air.

"Hmm." It's not as though he knows anywhere better. Skywarp changes course, heading east. "Then let's go have a look at them."

He flies in silence for a moment before asking, "So what's the situation in your universe?"

It's her turn to be silent, and she only breaks it as the first formations of the convoluted warren of red-rock canyons comes into sight. When she does her voice is abrupt and emotionless. "We lost."

Skywarp slows almost involuntarily, more sensors turning in her direction. "How? When?"

"...A series of miscalculations. And I don't know. It's been awhile since I've been in the reality." She flies grimly forward. "A former teammate ensured that it was too hot for us."

"What, he turned traitor?" Skywarp likes traitors. On sticks. After marinating.

"No. He just never used his processor." She rumbles with anger as they soar over the beginning of the canyons proper. "So I relieved him of it."

"Shouldn't keep equipment you're never going to use," Skywarp comments, scanning the terrain below.

Speaking of which, he has wings. And he can't get a really good look from up here. Down he goes, and no, you don't want to know how fast.
