Nexus. Blue's Bar. First meeting with someone you know.

Blackout looks around the little hole in the wall bar as she leads Skywarp in, ignoring Blue's warning look from where the femme was talking to a table full of Minibots. Said Minibots are the only other customers right now except for that crazy girl that hangs out with the crazy little Decepticon that turns into a boat with wheels.

"Booth in the back?" she asks her companion, turning to look down at him.

"Could make more Autobots with it, too." She rumbles and puts a hand on his wing, gently but relentlessly steering him onto the couch. "Lay down, you're leaking again."

Not wanting to go offline from an unseen leak, he takes her word for it and lowers himself onto the sentient couch, prodding it with absent curiosity. "How many of them are left in your world?"

"Four that I know of." She lowers herself carefully to sit by the couch and sets to work, moving a little at Hormah's insistence so that the rookie can reach a spot on her side. "Megatron ripped one in half just before he decided to knock Starscream's head off."

Couchbot is being very quiet. He's still scared, but he's curious, too.

"He did that?" Skywarp looks up in surprise. Pleased surprise - until he gives himself a mental kick and reminds himself that another Decepticon would be a bonus in this situation.

"Yes." She frowns as she works. "Which makes me wonder if something was wrong... Starscream had messed up before, but Megatron never even tried to kill him before. He was too useful."

"Hm." Skywarp considers that. He never did get what was between the two in his world, but maybe the Starscream here was a smart one. "Megatron never slagged him even a little bit?"

"Dents and a few close warning shots." She shrugs, careful of her injuries and her symbiont. "But this time he grabbed him and shook him till his head went flying."

"Huh. I wonder what he knew."

"He probably let slip his little plan to take over." Careful large fingers trail over a newly mended crack, then go to trace the next wound.

Skywarp shivers involuntarily. Damaged areas are sensitive!

Which fact has its ups as well as its downs.

"You think he wouldn't already know about that?"

"He didn't." She rubs his back a little in response to the shiver, carefully sets the torch to him again. "None of us did till a couple vorns into our search for he and the Allspark."

Hormah's humming as she works. That's the only way Skywarp will be able to know she's there, blocked as she is by her boss's bulk.

"Hmmm... what?" He frowns and half-turns towards her, readily dropping his contemplation of Starscreams in favour of a bigger question.

Blackout gives him a brief outline of the war and the search for the missing artifact... ending it with a terse recounting of the loss of both Megatron and Allspark. She doesn't mention her laughter as it happened, but she does say that she was too damaged to be able to help.

Skywarp listens, asking a question or two for clarification. Who told the Nexus I didn't have enough to think about?

"On the bright side," he says, stretching his legs out, "now you've got the perfect example of what not to do for next time."
