Fusion- 'verse. Iacon. Power at play.
"Cyclonus!" Galvatron sidestepped Scourge's determined charge and threw the ball over her head toward their brother, who abruptly fell on his face as Deathscream rammed into him. "Ah! No!"
"Galvatron?" The black Seeker stopped uncertainly.
"Go! Go!" he shouted, running to rescue the ball even as he urged her to keep it from him.
She hesitated, but then kicked off and launched herself at the goal where one of the male Sweeps stood looking utterly bewildered.
"What the slag is this? Soccer or football?" Kup scratched his helm and scowled where he stood on a roof overlooking the playing field.
"I'm just glad I'm not down there," said Ultra Magnus soberly.
"Ouch...." They watched the Sweep go down.
"Hey, what's that?" Kup frowned and then chuckled. "I wondered where Bumblebee was."
Galvatron looked up at the cheerful shout and grinned at sight of his small friend, then returned his attention to trying to revive the flattened and terrified Sweep.
"Oh no! Shadowhunter! What happened?" Bumblebee left the group of Seekers he'd come in with and hurried over to kneel next to Galvatron.
"He was guarding the net," said the purple mech, his frown deepening as the Sweep finally onlined his eyes with a gasp. "Are you damaged?"
"N... n... no, sir," muttered Shadowhunter, shaking. "I'm ready to play."
"You'd better take a different post." Galvatron got up, bringing his timid brother with him.
Shadowhunter looked like he wanted to faint at the thought.
"Hey," said Bumblebee softly, patting the mech that he'd named for the other's habit of hiding whenever possible. "Don't worry. It's okay. And look! I brought more guys to play!"
Galvatron had been wondering why Tetra Squad was standing and grinning at him like that. They were his friends, but he had a hard time understanding a lot of what the pack of enthusiastic young Seekers said and did. "Alright. Do you want to play my team against yours?"
"Sure!" Bumblebee patted Shadowhunter on the back, then looked over at the green and grey Stormsong, who'd become the unofficial leader of the squad. "Do you wanna be captain?"
"You go." She grinned at him. "What are the rules?"
"Get the ball into our net," said Galvatron.
There was a pause as the Seeker and Minibot waited to hear the rest of the rules, and then Bumblebee chuckled. "Well that sounds easy. Let's go!"
Up on the roof Kup and Ultra Magnus watched in silent awe of the mayhem being enacted on the playing field as the game got fast and intense. Laughter, shouts, grunts, and yelps came from down below.
And then Galvatron was shouting for everyone to stop as he tossed aside a dogpile to rescue Bumblebee, his optics bright as he registered the lack of engine sound from the little mech.
"Bumblebee...." He went to one knee and scooped him up, then shook him.
"I'm sorry."
Cyclonus grabbed Scourge before she could bolt, then wrapped his arms around her reassuringly.
"It... didn't work, sir," he said as Bumblebee remained silent.
-Primus, please, fix him.- Galvatron scowled and shook his friend again, then relaxed a bit as a weak cough was followed by a shaky hum. "Bumblebee?"
"I'm... okay." The little bot's optics flickered online, and he managed a weak grin.
"No. You're not." Galvatron got to his feet and turned toward the infirmary, his face brightening as he spotted Ratchet coming out of the building at a run.
"What did you do now?" the long suffering medic demanded as he neared.
"Broke Bumblebee," said Stormsong soberly, regarding a decided bend in one of her wings.
"Give him here." Ratchet took the little mech and looked him over, then sighed with relief. "You'll be alright after a couple days' rest. But what do you think you were doing? These guys are all at least twice your size!"
Bumblebee just grinned. "I... think we won."
Galvatron blinked, but then chuckled. "Yes, you did. But if you hadn't gotten in the way of that pile of mechs you wouldn't have." He looked around at his team. "Let's go do something else."
"Can we use the ball?" asked one of the other members of Tetra.
"Yes." The young Transformer Prime watched as his friend was carried away, his expression grave as he made a note of just how much stronger he and his team were than most of the mechs around them.
"Do you want to play another game?" asked the Seeker.
"No. Not right now. Thank you." He gave the blue and yellow mech an absent smile, then lead his team from the field.
"I like how he's shaping up," noted Kup, turning away. "Let's go get a drink."
"You just had a drink," Ultra Magnus pointed out.
"So? I'm drinkin' the low grade. I can have as many drinks as I want. That game reminds me of this time on Cyrus Alpha...."
Ultra Magnus shook his head and followed.
"Galvatron?" The black Seeker stopped uncertainly.
