ANH'verse. Bespin Space Station. No Comment
Somewhat early the next morning, a knock comes at the door to Arcee and the gang's suite, or rather a 'chime'. Knocks are so terribly old fashioned and who knows what the door bell things in sci-fi movies are actually called? Up to this time, there has been no major change in the Falcon's condition status. All reports to this point have said that they still aren't done with her repairs--but--they are getting close. Just a couple more hours and they should be completed.
Any other news the caretakers of the station might be privy to have not been shared with the suite's inhabitants.
Depending on close the rest of the gang is to the door, they may hear muffled voices immediately proceeding and succeeding said "knock." There are two voices to be precise: one male and one female.
Anyone inside the suite bored or observant enough could hear the rather familiar voices go from somewhat louder, normal tones to becoming decidedly hushed--but not quite whispered--by the time one of them interacts with the door's 'chime'. The walls' superior sound proofing makes it pretty much impossible to clearly hear anything said however.
But anyway, someone on the other side door wants to talk to someone or all in Arcee's suite, so let's move on from there . . .

"Hey, Princess." Jetfire perks just slightly without realizing it. "Where's Kia?"
"She says she and Murphy are staying in bed today," says the pink and white femmebot. Then she loses her slight frown as she notices Smokescreen.

A frown comes onto his face as the conversation creeps in Kia's direction, and there is a bit of uncertainty deep in his optics. He manages to brush off his frown and replaces it with a small, friendly smile when Arcee turns in his direction.
"Good morning, Arcee. Were ya able to get some recharge in?" Smokescreen says, amiably, although it's clear he is only trying to lighten the mood a bit.

And then she blinks and gives Jetfire a 0.0 look as a very faint roar seems to come from the area of his midsection. "What the slag?"
no subject
Smokescreen gives a shadow of a chuckle as he turns to look back at Jetfire. "That reminds me. . . . Before bad news dampened things, I was gonna come see if I could interest you all in some breakfast and a good yarn before Jetfire left us . . ."

"Hey! Get off my case! It does the job doesn't it?" he snaps back irritably. Then he turns to their host. "That sounds great, Smokie, though I can't talk for the princess."
Arcee gives him a Look, but then smiles at Smokescreen. "Breakfast sounds lovely. Thank you."

"It's been like that for as long as I've known him," he says, realizing as he comes to Jetfire's defense that recent events have made tensions high.
Although he also suspects that there might be something more to it then what it appears at first."A full tank should take care of that. . . As well as a few other things."Smokescreen moves towards the door, where he hesitates. "Don't mention it, Arcee." A small smile is evident in his voice, even if his face is turned from them. He then opens the door, turns, and indicates that the two should head out. "Shall we go?"
no subject
"Don't do me any favours, cowboy." Arcee scowls and heads past Smokescreen.
no subject
"You still have knack for charming femmes, I see, Jetfire," Smokescreen says, teasing Jetfire a bit in the way Jetfire will remember from days long gone. He will head out when Jetfire does.
no subject
"Remember, cowboy. I know where you sleep," comes the cool retort from just ahead of them.
"D'oh! Well then it's a good thing my place ta sleep's gonna be a long ways away from here pretty soon."
no subject
Smokescreen doesn't reply to Jetfire, but his body language might suggest he's doubting that soon will be soon enough if Jetfire keeps up his rude comments to Arcee.
