Backwater Nexus. Mall. Let's Rock and Ride!
Lucy approaches the mall with just a little trepidation, smoothing out her dress (bright green with yellow flowers on the skirt -- and it's just over knee length, so a certain little pitcher needn't worry if she's around tonight) and making sure her hair is pulled back neatly in its ponytail. Silver's mention of the Rock N Ride nights at the mall stuck with her even after her return to her own world. So, after a rather annoying day trying to make sure her passport was up-to-date, she's decided it's time to seek out some fun and see what else this Nexus has to offer. "Just hope they accept regular old American dollars," she mumbles, patting her purse by her side as she reaches the front entrance. (Nothing in her vast array of literature suggested they wouldn't, but discretion, valor, etc.)

She sniggers along with Rhea. Well, that's what happens when one of the group is pretty much near-immortal, right?

"Not really." Rhea shrugs. "All mutants eventually had to leave the reality that Uzulee, and my husband's, ancestors came from, which caused the reality to end. They're scattered in three or four little pockets all over the Multiverse now, and they take care of policing the Multiverse."
"We're called Travellers," offers Uzulee.

"Oh." The taller woman wrinkles her forehead comically. "Good thing I'm just a lab nerd and not one of the guys who go out and do the cop thing."
Uzulee shakes her head and tuts, then turns back to Lucy. "Yeah. Thankfully, we aren't the only ones doing it."
Ruhamah speaks up then, as the group reaches the gate, her soft, slightly thick alto firm. "I'm paying for you, Lucy."

She glances over at Ruhamah as they reach the gate. To ask why or not to ask why? The tone doesn't leave room for much argument. "That would be very nice of you," she settles on, figuring that's open-ended if Ruhamah wants to give a reason.

Lucy holds up her hands in playful surrender. "Not arguing, not arguing! We don't argue with someone wanting to pay the entrance fee."
