Backwater Nexus. Mall. Let's Rock and Ride!

Lucy approaches the mall with just a little trepidation, smoothing out her dress (bright green with yellow flowers on the skirt -- and it's just over knee length, so a certain little pitcher needn't worry if she's around tonight) and making sure her hair is pulled back neatly in its ponytail. Silver's mention of the Rock N Ride nights at the mall stuck with her even after her return to her own world. So, after a rather annoying day trying to make sure her passport was up-to-date, she's decided it's time to seek out some fun and see what else this Nexus has to offer. "Just hope they accept regular old American dollars," she mumbles, patting her purse by her side as she reaches the front entrance. (Nothing in her vast array of literature suggested they wouldn't, but discretion, valor, etc.)

"Puffed grain. And that one's pizza flavour."

Ruhamah, it seems, has decided to eat the plate right along with her pizza.

"Oh!" Lucy snerks. "Well, it would have to be, wouldn't it?"

She thinks she'll at least try following Ruhamah's example and takes a big bite out of pizza and plate. Mmmmm, yummy. And structurally sound -- nothing worse than floppy pizza dumping toppings all over you.

"They have stuff on them to keep them from absorbing food. And the pickle, chili, and curry flavour ones taste really good with pizza too." Uzulee grins as Rhea makes a face at her for the statement, and then has a cautious bite of her own warm and lovely pizza, which includes cheese, some ground meat that appears to be of avian extraction, and some baby spinach. There is no tomato sauce on the pizza at all, but some other vegetable based sauce, warm and flavourful is taking its place.

"Let's go sit and talk while we eat," suggests the petite Beast, nodding toward a nearby bench.

Lucy just nods, mouth a little too full to properly respond just yet. She swallows her bite after a bit of chewing. "Well, this is pretty awesome all by itself, so. . ."

"Sounds like a plan." Lucy takes another bite of pizza and plate and makes her way over to the bench.

Sitting occurres in the rest of the party as well, with Rhea giving Ruhamah a hand up and then standing in front of the bench and dancing slightly as she munches on her bannock dog.

The tiny woman shakes her head at the taller and younger one, and receives a roguish wrinkling of Rhea's lovely nose in response. Sighing like a put upon grandmother, she turns to Lucy. "So what do you want to know, youngling?"

Uzulee looks sideways and chuckles at that from her perch on the back of the bench at the opposite end from Lucy, but only has another bite of pizza instead of commenting.

Lucy giggles at Rhea's antics, a bit tempted to get up and dance with her. Hey, supposed to be a party (or something like it), after all. She's distracted by Ruhamah's question, however. "I think I've got the basic jist of this place -- world that connects every other world and such," she admits. "How did you guys come across it? I mean, Uzulee said that her world -- ended, and all, but. . ."

"Charlie, Rhea's husband, sensed it," says Ruhamah, curling her short legs beside her on the bench and smoothing her dark cloak over her knees with the hand not holding her pizza-plate sandwich. "He and I are from the same reality as Uzulee. Rhea was from another, originally."

Meanwhile, Uzulee is looking toward the right and murmuring that Kingda can wait, because Dreadnought's getting ready to play.

"Oh, I see," Lucy says, taking another bite of pizza. Once she's done chewing and swallowing, she glances at Rhea and adds, "Did you two meet here, then?" Seems logical to her.

And then Uzulee's talking about Dreadnought, and she can't help a look to see what's up.

"No," says Rhea, also looking toward the impromptu stage where the big bot is working on tuning a massive guitar as another bot who looks a lot like him save for being smaller and blue with dancing green eyes yaps at him in a friendly baritone voice. "I've known the derp most my life. He was the voice in my head up till the day I demanded to see him and he dropped by for a moment. Didn't see him again till I'd been caught by the mutant hunters." A shrug. "Then he played knight in shining armour."

Well -- rock and roll. Lucy turns back to Rhea arches a curious eyebrow. "So -- you two had something telepathic going on? And yikes -- mutant hunters? That must have been scary." It would have been for her -- and she's got a power that's almost undetectable. "I'm glad he was able to help get you out of that situation."
