Backwater Nexus. Mall. Let's Rock and Ride!

Lucy approaches the mall with just a little trepidation, smoothing out her dress (bright green with yellow flowers on the skirt -- and it's just over knee length, so a certain little pitcher needn't worry if she's around tonight) and making sure her hair is pulled back neatly in its ponytail. Silver's mention of the Rock N Ride nights at the mall stuck with her even after her return to her own world. So, after a rather annoying day trying to make sure her passport was up-to-date, she's decided it's time to seek out some fun and see what else this Nexus has to offer. "Just hope they accept regular old American dollars," she mumbles, patting her purse by her side as she reaches the front entrance. (Nothing in her vast array of literature suggested they wouldn't, but discretion, valor, etc.)

"Neat! Kind of weird too, but all the best stuff is." Lucy examines it a moment. "So if you put it on the other way, your hand disappears and reappears on your shelf?"

"Yup!" says Uzulee. Then she laughs and lifts her arm to poke at the little fat fingers that are wriggling around under her wrist. "Ben, get out of the cupboard."

All right. Lucy did indeed just say that all the best stuff is kind of weird. And she can definitely see the usefulness of having a bracelet like this. And she's even the one who noted that the bracelet should work like that if you stick your hand in from the other side.

That still doesn't make the appearance of the fingers any less creepy. She stares for a moment, then quickly averts her gaze to see what Rhea and Ruhamah are up to before that image sticks in her head and fuels a few nightmares.

Other Tribal dancers have found Rhea and are following her hand signals as they dance. The tall brunette's grin says just how much she enjoys this music. And up on the stage Ruhamah is solemn, though her large eyes are speaking as she glances away from the stage from time to time. The other dancer has now been joined by a little girl with features very like her own, though without the long, glow in the dark hair.

Well, she's glad to see they're having fun. Lucy bounces along to the beat some more -- not dancing in any particular style, just moving along to the rhythms and losing herself in the music's flow. It's how she usually dances, and she feels it works for her. (So long as she doesn't step on anyone's feet, of course.) And this is good music for that sort of dancing she thinks -- very easy to get swept up by the notes and carried along.

Human CJ, it appears, is waltzing nearby, with a laughing Andey standing on his feet and hiding her face against him as he sings along.

The music changes as the song ends, segueing smoothly from 'Airship Pirates' to 'Disturbia', which sounds pretty amazing in a deep male voice.

Dreadnought smiles at someone at the back of the crowd, and a pretty tfan-tech female Seeker of black trimmed with acid green rolls cheerful green eyes at him, and then resumes dancing for the blushing blue-eyed Swindle that is standing beside her.

Lucy stops dancing as the song changes, listening to see what the new beat will be. And -- huh. Not something she expected, but yeah, he does a surprisingly good job with it. She turns to see who Dreadnought is smiling at, then grins at the scene unfolding. Seems there's a lot of cuteness in the air tonight. She can dig it. (Even if the cuteness feels a bit weird paired with this song. On the other hand, it goes perfectly with the unintentional creepy from earlier.)
