Backwater Nexus. Mall. Let's Rock and Ride!
Lucy approaches the mall with just a little trepidation, smoothing out her dress (bright green with yellow flowers on the skirt -- and it's just over knee length, so a certain little pitcher needn't worry if she's around tonight) and making sure her hair is pulled back neatly in its ponytail. Silver's mention of the Rock N Ride nights at the mall stuck with her even after her return to her own world. So, after a rather annoying day trying to make sure her passport was up-to-date, she's decided it's time to seek out some fun and see what else this Nexus has to offer. "Just hope they accept regular old American dollars," she mumbles, patting her purse by her side as she reaches the front entrance. (Nothing in her vast array of literature suggested they wouldn't, but discretion, valor, etc.)

She looks over as she hears the footsteps and sees the girls grab onto Ryan. She grins at the one with the chalk streaks and the chain main mini-dress -- nice style! She herself is a fan of dying her hair (it's naturally red, but Lucy prefers a more vibrant shade than what nature provided), and she's been known to add streaks when she's in the mood. And the mini-dress might be something she'd give a whirl. Maybe not the boots, though -- those look rather painful. Or at least really hard to walk in. The other one looks good too, before you accuse Lucy of favoritism. "Friends or family?" she asks Power Joe, since she figures he'd know.

Then he meeps as arms wrap around his neck from behind and a storm of clicking fills the air. "What? Ahhhh, Desti-chan, you came to the party?"

Although it seems that question may have to wait, as someone else appears to have joined the conversation. Lucy looks to see who's doing all that clicking.

"This is my ka-san's baby twin sister," he says, turning a grin to Lucy.
"NOT babby." Desti's face is suddenly serious and pouting as she displays a foot clad in a pretty, clear, but cheap dollar store shoe. "Cinderella."
"Okay." Power Joe lowers his head to look at her, then gasps with dismay. "That's Barbie's new party dress!"
"Thrrrpt!" Desti's face lights up again, and with a quick squirm and a swirl of hair and petticoats she's vanished into the crowd.
"Aw, man..." Power Joe watches her go, rubbing the back of his head.

And then Desti's gone again, lost in the sea of people. Lucy looks at Power Joe. "Barbie's new party dress?" she echoes. Well, she saw him carrying around a big old Barbie before. . .

"You and your doll." The girl in metal boots and red hair streaks laughs from where she's walked over to talk to him and his dance partner. She's now standing arm in arm between two more young women who share her face. One of these is in a beautiful linen sundress with a blue overdress that is worn with a pretty pair of sparkling blue fabric flipflops, hair flowing loose over her shoulders, and a large handworked music clef bracelet on one wrist. The other has her hair twisted into a neat updo, and is wearing jeans with a black polkadot white blouse, kitten heel peeptoe pumps that match the blouse and which are adorned with cute red bows, and a belt that bears two buttoned pouches and a lovely red bustle made from old scraps of silk.
"There's nothing wrong with guys playing with dolls," the sister in blue informs the one with red streaks. "Jamie does it too."
Red streaks laughs. "He doesn't flip out over their wardrobes."
Then she grins at Lucy. "Hi, I'm Alicia, and this is Sabrina (the girl in the bustle and jeans) and Susanna (the girl in the dress). Is PJ being a doofus?"
"No!" says Power Joe, laughing.

She looks over as -- all right, either they're all part of a multiple birth of some sort, or this is some sort of shared face template they're all using. There's no way this many people could look so alike otherwise. At least they all dress and wear their hair differently. And say what you will about them -- this group has got style. Lucy gives them all a friendly wave. "Lucy Leech," she says with a smile. "And no more of one then I'm being."
Interpret that how you will.

"We're soldiers," says Sabrina in a quiet way that contrasts strongly with her sister's outgoing vim. "Mixing work with fun takes a little of the fun out of it."
"Especially when you wind up going home to Dad in full yell about it." Alicia laughs again, carefully ignoring a reproving look from Susana.

She nods and shrugs a little. "I hear ya. I'm an actress myself. One who bounces around joining whatever theater productions are local. Might not be the most stable life, but it's one I love."
