Backwater Nexus. Mall. Let's Rock and Ride!

Lucy approaches the mall with just a little trepidation, smoothing out her dress (bright green with yellow flowers on the skirt -- and it's just over knee length, so a certain little pitcher needn't worry if she's around tonight) and making sure her hair is pulled back neatly in its ponytail. Silver's mention of the Rock N Ride nights at the mall stuck with her even after her return to her own world. So, after a rather annoying day trying to make sure her passport was up-to-date, she's decided it's time to seek out some fun and see what else this Nexus has to offer. "Just hope they accept regular old American dollars," she mumbles, patting her purse by her side as she reaches the front entrance. (Nothing in her vast array of literature suggested they wouldn't, but discretion, valor, etc.)

"Ruhamah's still up on the stage with Amy and Rae, and Rhea found some more chem geeks. They're over behind one of the other stages playing mad scientist."

That gets a bit of a frown from Raoul, who is standing by Kriti, Bunny, and Kagerou. The others are all dancing again. Actually, Bunny and Kagerou are too, but you know what we mean.

"Mad scientist? Theoretical mad scientist or actual materials mad scientist?" Lucy asks, raising an eyebrow. She would guess they're just talking, but -- she doesn't want to make any assumptions. I mean, look at all the amazing/slightly crazy stuff she's already seen.

Raoul snerks. "With the kinda reality they're from, and the kinda place we're in, you gotta ask?"

"What he said," says Uzulee ruefully, but with laughter.

"Hey, I'm the newbie here -- asking questions is what I do best," Lucy replies, smirking. "Shall we track her down then?"

"Well, I'd rather go explore," says Uzulee as Raoul gives a laugh of good natured agreement. "Sure, I'm a science geek too, but Chem's not really my favourite. Besides, she might ask us to taste things."

"Oh dear -- yeah, I don't think I'm in the mood for a 'here, drink this' situation either," Lucy nods. "Where shall we hither to, then? There must be tons of places left to explore."

"Especially not with Rhea's idea of what tastes good. I heard a bouncy beat over there in the pause when Dready wasn't playing, and someone said there's boy band style dancing going on in that direction. Want to check that out first?"

Raoul looks in that direction thoughtfully, but with a slight smile as Kagerou wiggles down onto the floor and then shakes his little booty while holding Bunny's hand. "Boy band? I heard of those guys, they're good."

"I'm in favor of bouncy beats!" Lucy says with a bright smile. "And of a new kind of dancing around here."

She giggles at Kagerou wiggling his booty with Bunny, then glances up at Raoul. "Oh? Care to tell me more?"

"Nah." The Latino teen grins, his dark eyes dancing. "No spoilers."

Uzulee pauses to stare at him slightly, then shakes her head. "Dork."

Raoul's laughter is echoed by Kagerou and Kriti, though Kriti is quietly agreeing with Uzulee.

Lucy blinks a few times. "Oookay. . ." She shakes her head a little too, then turns back to Uzulee. "Seems the only way I'm going to get any info on this band is if you lead me to them."

"You're going?" Ryan glances over, close enough to talk to now that the group's drifted a little. He gives his alert and friendly grin as the sister in the long dress does the same. "It was nice meeting you. Guys, Lucy's gonna go see what else to look at!"

The sisters turn, waving and smiling with various degrees of warmth. And Power Joe comes over to offer a hug.

"Yeah, sorry," Lucy says, giving him an apologetic half-smile. "Off to see what else is on offer. But it was nice meeting you too, and I hope you all have a good night!"

She returns the waves and smiles, and Power Joe's hug. They're a very nice group of people, and she's glad she got the chance to spend some time with them.

"Squish squish," says Power Joe happily, his Japanese accent making the words sound a little funny.

"It was nice meeting you," says the sister in the long dress.

"Maybe we'll meet again sometime," says Sabrina quietly, absently glancing toward the gate as her mind goes to something else.

Power Joe lets Lucy go, then, and cheerfully hugs Uzulee too, and then he's waving and going to dance with Alicia, who has thrown herself into the music again and dancing her heart out.

Lucy giggles at Power Joe and pats his back. He really is a cutie.

"Nice meeting you too," she nods as Power Joe releases her. "And yeah, hopefully we'll bump into each other again sometime in the future." It's not like she's never planning to come back here, after all. And she'd like to get to know them all a bit better.

She gives some final goodbye waves, then turns back to Uzulee. "So? Shall we?"
