Ratchet had just gotten back from the bar in that nexus between realities, but even a rousing good poker game with his alternates hadn't helped him to feel better. The murder of his friends Bladewing and Skystriker was just too recent, and the uncertainty over the fate of their newly sparked Seeklet worried him so much that his energy wasn't sitting properly in his tank.

He sighed as he turned into an alley that was a shortcut back to his clinic, and then froze and scanned his surroundings as he thought he heard something. "Hello? Is someone there?"

The Seeklet whimpered in her recharge as Ratchet moved her arm to scan it, the Energon within the wound was off-color, was unusually thick and a rancid smell was coming off the wound as well.

Ratchet frowned with concern, and then went and started digging through Carly's stuff that she left the last time she'd come to visit. "She's got something organic in that wound and it's rotted. I have to find that and clean it out."

"How did she get something organic in her wound on a world made of metal?" Wheeljack asked softly

"I don't know." The medic continued to search for what he wanted in the little kit. "But I can smell it. That's the odor of rotten organic fat."

[alpha_prime]

"Think it was from the trash?" Wheeljack asked

[random_xtras]

"It had to have, unless the ones that did... you know... did it. And why would they?" Ratchet pulled out the tools and medicine and came back, once more frowning with concern over the tiny arm.

[alpha_prime]

Wheeljack nodded and continued to gently rub the Seeklet's back; she nuzzled against 'Jack with a little yawn in her sleep

Ratchet numbed the arm, and then worked quickly and carefully to clean out all the infection.
