Kia glances around without turning her head as she walks between Random and the disguised bot who is herding them into this big, stinky, sandy, shady place at gunpoint. The place is loud, smells disgusting, and Random didn't want her seeing what was going on in here, so she's trying not to see too much as she looks for friends, and she's pouting really hard to show that she doesn't want to be here and doesn't like this restraining bolt. She hopes she's a good actor, because she's really so excited that it's all she can do not to be jumping up and down right now, or running back the way they came to poke that brain in a jar that she saw walking past.

Random feels his spark sink when Jetfire seems to stop, thinking he hadn't been quick enough. He turns to Kia when she says he's going to be okay, and he hopes she's right.

There are a few moments more of silence in the cell, but then Jetfire shudders slightly and sighs as his hands clench into a normal resting posture. He's still very weak, and badly in need of medical care, but he'll survive.

Kia sighs too, then rubs her eyes with her fists and turns her head to look up at her mentor.

Random sighs with relief as well . . . and then he remembers that he has a couple more of those "energy" shots, which have energy and minerals to help the jet's repair systems shore up the rest of him.

Random thinks for a moment for pulling those out and injecting them into Jetfire. He has the regular liquid form of the fuel for later, but right now Jetfire needs it in a form that his body won't immediately reject.

The jet flinches and whimpers softly as he's touched, but doesn't wake, or move otherwise. Airazor looks over at Random without lifting her head, and even with her mask the weary thankfulness on the tiny woman's face is spark jerking.

Kia soothes Jetfire's leg, singing softly, then looks up at Random. "Now we need to rest."

Random scans the taller mech again and sees that he's out of the red. He still needs care, but Random's given him all that he can give without the mech being awake.

Random looks around the room as if for the first time and sighs. It was a lot easier to sleep when he was in too much "ow" to really think about it. Now he's too aware of where they are and how dangerous this place is.

He checks to see that Jetfire's not in an uncomfortable position before getting up and plopping down on the bench since it's drier and cleaner than the floor.

Kia gives Jetfire a last patpat, then climbs up beside Random. She sits there for a moment, picking crud out from between the joints of her feet, then looks up at her mentor. "You need to rest too, Random."

"Even if I wanted to, I don't think I can." It really was a miracle he took that nap earlier. He still didn't really believe that he took it.

Kia frowns at him sternly, her little chin firm with disapproval. "You need to recharge so you can be ready to get away when the chance comes. It will help your dents heal, too."
