baby: *noooo idea about the answer to that. Poke poke poke. Found such a nice big*

KITT: *goes back to headquarters*

staff member: Why are you black?

staff member: *shakes his head and goes into the elevator*

baby: *face on the window and blows*

baby: *so much steam on the window!*

baby: *off the seat and climbing around on the floor. Happy noises continue*

KITT: *starts playing 'Sesame Street'*

baby: Oooo? **paws on console, big eyes on the screen. Settles down to watch intently**

KITT: *rolls over to where Diesel's parked next to his partner's little trailer* Diesel, do you know if Laura has anything good to eat in her home right now?

Diesel: ...Who gave you a baby?

KITT: The baby did!

Diesel: *chuckles, and then opens his door* I've got cookies in my glove compartment.

KITT: That's hardly nutritious.

Diesel: These are. They're made with chickpeas.

KITT: *makes his holoform rezz up and get the cookies, then makes it offer one to the baby* Thank you, Diesel.

Diesel: No problem, old man.

KITT: *snort*

Diesel: *tells Laura about the baby, and says KITT needs help*

Laura: *comes out of her trailer and walks over to the black car. Quietly* Do you want me to take him?

hKITT: *startled look up from feeding the little protein rich cookies to the baby. Looks back down at the scruffy, oversize kitten. Thinks hard* No, I think I'm alright for tonight, Laura. I'll bring him back to the Backwater tomorrow.

Diesel: *snerk*

Laura: Alright. Please tell me if you need anything. **goes and crawls in Diesel's back seat to read a book*

KITT: *doesn't realize that the pain of losing his first family is eased as he fusses over the fuzzy kid. Will amuse and tend to the little one till baby falls asleep and purrs*
