Feen Verse: Meeting the father.

Creed blinked as he entered some cool, dark-smelling place, which caught him off guard.

He gently set his love down, then turned his head, smelling earth and metal, one arm around here. "Are we there, sweetheart? We make it?"

She brought him down the long corridor and through a thick blast door and then a second one. As soon as they stepped through it into the big, low room on the other side of that one Creed was indeed seeing in living colour. The room was littered with strange equipment, which Fluß led him past till they reached a little semi circle of three tanks. Each of the tall tanks held a tiny dark form which wriggled and swam around happily.

Fluß stopped to look at the nearest one, her face shining with tenderness. "(Hello, baby brother. Did you miss me?)" She looked up, ears twitching. "(Put your hand here, so he can meet you.)"

"(Whenever one of us is going to have a baby Grandpa wakes one of the sleepers and lets them start to grow, so that there'll be two babies for the mama and papa instead of just one.)" She chuckled as the tiny babe within the tank snuggled against Creed's hand. "(He likes you.)"

"(Those of us that Grandpa created. Like me.)" She chuckled as the baby curved his tiny back into Creed's palm.

"Yes," rumbled a deep, familiar voice a trifle sadly. "Created. Though not in the truest sense. I merely tinkered in that which I should not have. But now I am responsible for the children that I caused to be, and must needs see to it that they have their chance at life. You see, Victor, I could not pass judgment on you even if you were the monster you think yourself, for your worst is nothing compared to mine own sins."

Fluß frowned and led Creed past the tanks, where a chair stood before a bank of screens and controls. A man sat there; a massive being with dark grey fur and long hair pulled back in a ponytail. A young Schattenfeen woman stood next to him, her red hair, wings, and eyes startling in the low light of the room.

He kissed the two babies he'd been holding and handed them to the woman. "Thank you, Hrafni. I'll see you tonight, daughter."

She nodded as she gave Creed a curious, friendly glance, then wrapped herself and her babies in her wings and left the room.
