Kurt stepped through the portal and looked around, remembering the small girl who'd first shown him this place and wondering how much time had passed since the last time anyone from his reality had had anything to do with this one.

He turned to look at the women who had accompanied him: Harley Quinn and Deona Miles, though he couldn't see Mrs. Miles yet. Then he turned toward the grave they'd come to see and blinked as he saw a tall man in a white polo shirt and brown slacks standing by one near the end of the plot. "Ah, it hasn't been so long, I guess."

Deona focuses and within seconds she shifts from incoporeal to a visible, solid form.

"I'm right here," she says quietly, then asks, "Any idea who that guy is?"

"This... this is Gotham." Harley speaks, her voice on the edge of tears. So many memories...

"Vone of Dick's great great grandsons." Kurt's mouth twitches slightly as he automatically puts an arm around Harley. "He's alright."

Deona squeezes her shoulder reassuringly. "We're both right here for you, Harley."

"Who did he marry in this universe, Babs?" Harley was curious, she had always wanted a family of her own... and now... "Was there a version of me in this universe?"

"Yes. He married Barbara. Und you vere here, und considered a friend of the Bat Clan before you died in childbirth. Your descendants are still members of the JLA." Kurt watches Richard to see if he'll be leaving soon.

Deona smiles softly when she hears this revelation. "Not in all universes are you a villain," she says quietly.

"I... childbirth? I was not sure that I could... please tell me that it was not Mr. J's." Harley whispered softly. She looked over to Richard, "he looks so much like Dick... I... wish I could say something."

Kurt winces at her words about the Joker, his tail curling into a knot. "Go... go ahead. I vill vait here."

Deona asks her, "Want me to go with you, or stay here?"

Harley winced when Kurt winced, that in itself was her answer, and she nodded to Deona. Taking a deep breath, she approached the Grayson plot, where Richard stood.

The bright colours caught his eye and he looked up from his parents' stone to watch as the two women come toward him with the plain intention of talking to him. He quickly puts his Richy mask in place and smiles brightly. "Hello. Are you lost?"

Deona takes the nod as meaning to go with her, so she does. She looks at the man and shakes her head at his question. She merely asks, "Are you...Dick Grayson's descendant?"

Harley does not know how to answer that question, as she does feel lost. "I..." she hugs herself and looks at the gravestones. "Which one is Dick's?"

He blinks, his brain snapping to attention even as he keeps the slightly stupid grin on his face. "I'm Richard _____. Not actually related to Dick, my grandma was Bruce Wayne's daughter. And it's the one with the stone angel on it."

She nods, then says, "My own name is not important...but we have come to pay respects to the honored dead."

Harley looks at the grave with the stone angel, "Richard... are you involved with someone?" Maybe she could keep the ring in the family, it would be nice if she could. She had not even thought about mentioning her name, yet.

"My wife and I just had our first child," he says uncertainly, though inside he's cataloging that pointed name omission and wondering at the Harliquin costume.

She nods approvingly, seeing what Harley is thinking then says, "Actually...maybe it is important after all. My name is Deona Miles."

"And I... I am Harley Quinn." She hopes the name does nto freak him out. With a shaking hand, she holds out the ring to him, "This should stay in the Bat family."

He looks at it, then at her, a bit of seriousness showing now in his steel blue eyes. "I don't understand. Why are you giving it to me?"

Deona smiles but says nothing. It is Harley's story to tell, if she wishes to. She squeezes her shoulder encouragingly.

Harley drops her voice, and her hand shakes, "The ring was Dick's mothers and it should stay in his family."
"Dick and I used to work together... and I forgot... I am sorry."

His eyes widen as he actually looks at it, then flash up to her face. "Dick Grayson's been dead for a long time, and my cousin wears this ring for her wedding band. What's going on?"

Deona looks to both and whispers to her, "I leave the tale of the truth to you." She says to Richard, "All I ask from you is an open mind."
