KOTOR-verse. The Ebon Hawk. Alora's quarters.

Alora opened her eyes and blinked at the ceiling, then sneezed explosively for a second time and growled, only to sneeze again.

And again.

Grumbling, she held her nose, thinking that she could have taken getting over a concussion with more grace if it hadn't been compounded by some opportunistic virus that had put her on her back for days. But at least the fever was gone now and her stomach didn't feel like it was filing for divorce.

But there was nobody sitting or laying on her bunk, so that meant that Carth and Mission weren't around. That depressed her a little as she pushed herself up against the headboard to have a look around.

"Thank you." She shivered slightly and reached for her blankets, only to find them twisted beneath her and beyond her strength to retrieve. "Ugh." She closed her eyes and lay back, face eloquently telling just how close the tears were though she fought them.

He gently lifted her with the Force, then set her back down on the sheets, covering her before dissappearing. Within ten minutes Carth was panting in the doorway, dscarding his body armor as he came in.

"Alora! Are you alright?" he asked, sitting by her.

"Just tired." She turned her head to look at him, holding the end of her sleeve in her hand and wiping hastily at her eyes.

"Hey," he said gently, sitting by her and pulling her hand down gently, wiping away her eyes himself. "Easy, it's alright."

"Did Jolee tell you what happened?" She wrapped her fingers around his and looked up at him wearily, her eyes a little bloodshot.
