66Winchesters 'verse. Middle of no where. Roadside diner.

She hit the ground hard and tumbled, then lay there and caught her breath for a moment before turning over and using the vehicle that she'd landed next to to pull herself to her feet. The movement nearly made her throw up, but not having anything in her stomach saved her that indignity and she settled for just leaning against the machine, the long sleeves of her ripped and dirty gown swaying in the breeze.

Hey, Sam and Dean, there's a strange woman hanging on your car.

Then she turned her head as her neck prickled and snarled aloud at sight of the thing that was right behind the older brother. She responded without thinking, knocking him aside and shoulder-slamming the thing just as it materialized.

Dean scowled "HEY!" he snapped, going to shoot at it hoping not to catch her.

Jaime yelped as contact with the thing seemed to spread cold numbness through her body, then hit the ground. She twitched at the sound of the gun going off, but then went still as blackness overcame her senses.

The thing, meanwhile, went splatty. But now its friend over by the road was invisible and heading their way, and a freaked out girl at the Micky D's was phoning 911 about the weirdo out in the parking lot shooting off a gun.

Dean wasn't too bothered about the police, well ok he was but the demon would have to be first worry

The thing was still invisible as it made for Sam, intent on mayhem.

Dean shot out, following his gut

And Sam got spattered with yeck as sirens sounded in the distance.

"I think we need to leave before the FBI haul my cute face to prison"

Sam groaned picking the girl up and putting her in the car
"Couldn't you-"
"NO" Sam said. As dean started the drive

Jaime groaned softly as she was set down, the scrape she'd gotten on her cheek healing and fading. "What?"

"Nothing" Sam said before Dean could suggest something nasty.

"S'yer brother alright?" She pushed herself up as the car skinned out of the lot.

"Yeah dean's fine just ignore him" Sam offered "He's grumpy"

"Alright." She settled back, then found the bag of food, and started to eat despite Dean's earlier warning. Her manners were careful and no crumbs wound up on the upholstery.

Dean scowled watching the girl in the mirror. "Hmm"

She finished everything she'd been given, then folded her napkin and tucked it back in the bag with all the boxes and such before starting to pick things off the floor and generally tidy the back seat, totally unfazed by the speed at which they were traveling.

Sam blinked. "You don't need too........"
Dean smiled "Ok maybe she ain't so bad"

"My arms are nae broken." She finished, then set the bag of trash down and wearily lay on the seat, passing out nearly before she'd gotten settled.

Sam looked at her, then dean "Aw shucks can we keep her?"
Dean smiled "Ok I guess"

Few Hours Later

Jaime woke up and looked around the darkened room, wondering where she was and how she'd gotten there, then smelled scents that she remembered and looked over to see Sam passed out face down on the other bed, and Dean in a chair with his arms crossed as he frowned in his sleep.

Sam was slipping into a familiar nightmare whereas Dean was stirring.

Jaime noticed the change in Sam's scent and sat up to frown at him in concern.

"wolf wolf yellow eyes" Sam murmered moving in his sleep.
The still sleeping dean threw a shoe at Sam.
Sam turned over again, and seemed to settle back down.

Jaime frowned at the shoe, then slipped off her bed and headed for the bathroom, blinking as she caught sight of the shirt and skirt laying over the end of her bed.

She took those, and the bag containing underclothes, and vanished into the bathroom to clean up.
