Valley of the Queens, Clone city: Looking for Ang

Spike winced as he looked around. The good news was spotting a young, blonde girl in this crowd would be easy. The bad news was the fact that all the men here looked exactly the same was really starting to freak the former vampire out.

He sighed as he walked forward, looking around and asking random people if they'd seen the blnde girl who liked to draw anywhere around here.

He sighed. This might take some time.

Ang looked up at him as the clone gave him a curious glance and stepped away. "Spike, that wasn't nice."

He blinked, then shook his head.

"I... I'm sorry, uh," he mumbled, pulling his arm back. Then he flushed and just as quickly turned, ears burning as he realized what he'd just done.

He swore under his breath, attempting to evacuate.

She blinked too and looked after him, remembering what Wolvie had told her.

Then she ran after him. "Spike, wait! Please!"

His back stiffened, then he turned.

"I'm sorry, Ang. I didn't mean to snap," he said softly, staring at the ground.

She walked around him, puffing for breath after her sprint as she looked up at him earnestly. "They don't want to marry me. They're my friends."

"I know," he said, stopping and smoothing back her hair.

Tell her, you idiot. Tell her you want to marry her!

He shook his head against his inner voice and made himself drop his hand. "Your ring's still on wrong."
