Valley of the Queens, Clone city: Looking for Ang

Spike winced as he looked around. The good news was spotting a young, blonde girl in this crowd would be easy. The bad news was the fact that all the men here looked exactly the same was really starting to freak the former vampire out.

He sighed as he walked forward, looking around and asking random people if they'd seen the blnde girl who liked to draw anywhere around here.

He sighed. This might take some time.

He nodded and smiled.

"Yeah. She did. I... I'm just scared, Ang," he said softly.

She sighed and leaned against him, her arms going around his chest. "Why do you love me, though? I'm not smart, or strong. Wolvie says I'm pretty, but there are lots of pretty girls."

He blinked, then looked down.

"You're beautiful, luv," he said softly, taking her hand and staring at it. "Your heart is bigger than any other I've seen, and... you're so pure."

He stopped, wondering if he'd said too much, and then he sighed, deciding he didn't care. "Ang... you're an angel."

That small hand gripped his as she listened.

"Rex is an angel." She shook her head.

Her brows drew together as she worked that out. "That's a joke, right?"

She gave him her sunshine smile. "But I'm not an angel."

"Ang... I hurt myself." A clone went to one knee beside them, his dark eyes grave as he held one hand over the other.

"Oh, let me see." She peeked, then winced and called to another clone nearby for a medkit. This brought, she cleaned and sealed the wound, speaking soothingly all the while.

"There. All better." She smiled.

The clone sighed and quirked a smile back, then saluted and walked away.

"No." She gave him a quizzical look as she put the tube of wound dressing back into the medkit and returned it to the clone who'd brought it.
