World Outside Time: 4 days later

Jubee lay on the grassy courtyard, bathing in the sunlight and feeling happy and content for the first time in a long while.

She was stretched out, laying in the yellow dress with her notebook, torn a little and battered, but fine other than a bloodstain on the cover, laying open in front of her. She'd purposefully ignored the pages before these ones, concentrating on the better times as she described the castle and the grounds, Sir James, Anmut, and everything that had happened so far.

On the ground next to her Steve was curled up, asleep as usual, and behind her Sir James and Anmut sat, also enjoying the day.

The stove thrummed softly as the pots danced on its surface and a ceramic pie bird pecked at the inside of the window on the oven door. On the table an apron twisted one of its strings into a 'thumbs up' before it returned to crimping the crust on a meat pie.

"Great," she grinned, then got up and looked around. "Can I help?"

The apron waved her over to the sink to wash her hands, then beckoned her to the table, where it hung itself around her neck and proceeded to show her how to make meat pies.

Jubee looked around, then sighed and grinned.

"We're done," she grinned, helping put all the trays on the big cart. "Now we just gotta fix up the balcony. C'mon, let's get the food up!"

The kitchen crew clattered and whistled exuberantly as the cart rolled toward the balcony.

She grinned, and followed it, very intent on making a good evening out of a bad afternoon.

"And I defiently won't be there to mess it up," she told the cart, shaking her head. "I've got to know when to stay back."

The big cello in the corner of the balcony let out a strain of romantic music as the table was covered and carefully aranged and garlands of flowers hung themselves around the edge of the railing.

"Yeah, this is perfect," Jubee grinned, focusing and loosing a bunch of red and purple fireworks into the air. They'd last a few hours, at the least, slowly falling towards the table.

"Wow," she said, looking around in awe. This was... well, it was her image of a perfect romantic dinner. Hopefully it would be good for Sir James and Anmut, too.

She nodded, looing around and making a few last touchups before she turned to the furniture and curtseyed, smiling.

"Thank you everybody. This is perfect! And you," she turned to the broom and smiled. "It's time to get Anmut and Wolvie. You ready?"

It perroetted excitedly as the apron unwrapped itself from around her and went to help the table cloth herd the dishes into place.

"Great. I'll get Anmut. And remember, one they're out here lock the doors," she giggled. "not allowed back in until they finished thier meal."
