Daylight filtered through the window, rousing Helena from her sleep.  With a grumble, she pulled the covers up higher and attempted to bury her head in her pillow.  She wouldn't exactly say she'd had a good night's rest--too many memories associated with the Manor--but she had slept about as well as anyone who sometimes kept odd hours could.

When it became clear that she was not going to be able to get back to sleep, she reluctantly came out from under the covers and gasped.

This was not the same room she'd gone to sleep in.

"Let's see about my costume first," Helena says. "Think I'll feel better once I've got one again."

"Very well." She nodded. "Would you like to do that now?"

Clark frowned over Helena's head as Brenda decided to shove Porthos off the end of the bench and a good natured scuffle broke out. "I'd better get to work. If I don't see you this evening I'll see you sometime later, Helena."

"Yeah. Let's go ahead and get that taken care of," she replies.

"I'll catch you around, Clark."

He smiled and waited till she got to her feet, then stood as well and dumped Brenda on top of her husband.

"You!" The young brunette leaped to her feet.

Clark just laughed and vanished in a puff of wind.

"Jerk," finished Brenda, then turned to Helena with a smirk.

Helena smiled. "Shame you two can't get along."
