Josh's Reality: Lab: Better Lead than Dead

Though temporarily out of the Phantom Zone and given just a wee bit of a reprieve, Mon-El was still dying, still suffering from lead poisoning in his veins.  Even if he could be cured of what was killing him now, the odds of encountering lead again were tremendous.  It would take a miracle to truly save his life.

His vision was hazy, pain making it hard to focus, but he could make out a high tech laboratory, one that would have been the envy of many a scientist.

A couple moments passed, and then the door opened and light footsteps entered, followed by a gasp.

And then Josh was back with a small chunk of glowing green rock in his hand. He paused when he saw his wife, but then stepped around her with a smile and set to work.

Jenny watched him, her pale green eyes curious and concerned under her strawberry blond curls, then turned to oversee the monitors on the dialysis machine.

It was a very good thing that Josh didn't have any paper in his lab, because at the moment it seemed as though a whirlwind were loose in the room. Only the orderly nature of the opening and closing doors and moving of objects hinted that there was a person at the heart of the storm.

Jenny, hair tossed by the wind, reached over and gently patted Lar's arm. "Would you like a drink?"

"Just water for now," she said apologetically, then turned to get it, only to squeak with surprise as her husband stopped in front of her and handed her a glass before blurring away again.
