Josh's Reality: Lab: Better Lead than Dead

Though temporarily out of the Phantom Zone and given just a wee bit of a reprieve, Mon-El was still dying, still suffering from lead poisoning in his veins.  Even if he could be cured of what was killing him now, the odds of encountering lead again were tremendous.  It would take a miracle to truly save his life.

His vision was hazy, pain making it hard to focus, but he could make out a high tech laboratory, one that would have been the envy of many a scientist.

"I know someone who could do it with sand." He held out his own right wrist to display the clear cuff there. "But..." He paused and considered. "I don't even know where he lives, and I haven't seen him since I stopped going to this one nexus."

"It's flexible, too." He touched one spot on it and watched as a seam opened along the underside of it, then handed it to Lar.

"I'll call Charlie... he knows a lot of people." He picked up another com unit and pressed in a code before wandering off a little ways and talking.

The cuff was indeed flexible... from the inside. The outside was impervious to denting. The molecular structure was similar to diamond, but with a slight difference.

"He says to make it from glass and he'll get it changed," reported Josh as he came back, fingers already itching to work.

The two were soon happily geeking, Josh totally oblivious to the delicious scents that were drifting down the hall.

"And pass me the third from the left." Josh held out his hand, satisfied with how quickly the tiny generator had gone together and with his realization that the glass could be used for an amplifier for its output.
