Josh's Reality: Lab: Better Lead than Dead

Though temporarily out of the Phantom Zone and given just a wee bit of a reprieve, Mon-El was still dying, still suffering from lead poisoning in his veins.  Even if he could be cured of what was killing him now, the odds of encountering lead again were tremendous.  It would take a miracle to truly save his life.

His vision was hazy, pain making it hard to focus, but he could make out a high tech laboratory, one that would have been the envy of many a scientist.

"Thanks," said Josh absently. "Hand me a couple pieces from the forth little right drawer from the left on the ninth level from the bottom?"

Josh skillfully embedded them in the glass, connected them carefully, then closed a few last connections and looked up. "Now it can get energy from the movement and warmth of your body."

"No?" said Josh absently as he looked at his own cuff and wondered if he could set up the same power system on it.

"Hmmm." His cuff was lain beside Lar's as his eyes started to gleam with interest.

"I won't be able to sink the circuits into it," responded Josh, looking at the tray and starting to get out more components. "But Jubal should be able to when we have him finish yours."

((Lar's welcome to help get stuff out))

"The guy that makes the flexible glass...." Josh watched as his wife's little pet crystal unicorn tripped carefully across the work bench. "And those."
