Josh's Reality: Lab: Better Lead than Dead

Though temporarily out of the Phantom Zone and given just a wee bit of a reprieve, Mon-El was still dying, still suffering from lead poisoning in his veins.  Even if he could be cured of what was killing him now, the odds of encountering lead again were tremendous.  It would take a miracle to truly save his life.

His vision was hazy, pain making it hard to focus, but he could make out a high tech laboratory, one that would have been the envy of many a scientist.

The significance is not lost on Lar. He spent a few of his imprisoned years studying the various religions of Earth after all.

Rather than say anything else on the matter, he simply nods.

And suddenly Josh paused and sniffed the air, his brown eyes lighting and making him no longer a genius scientist but only a growing boy who has smelled the best lasagna in the world.

Lar might not have a mutant sense of smell, but he's still got a nose. After the Zone, just about anything would smell good. But that? That practically was heaven.

There was a blur and wind, and the lab was suddenly tidy and Josh was in civilian attire and offering a pair of his old khakis and a shirt to Lar.

"Thanks," he said, as he took the clothes. Technically, he wasn't in costume; his attire was fairly standard Daxamite dress. But, spinning at speeds so fast as to just be a blur, he changed into the offered outfit, his red and blue one folded nicely in his arms.

"You can put that in the uniform vault, if you want." Josh pointed to a door that looked similar to one you'd see on a walk-in safe.

"I'll do that, thanks," Lar replied, heading into the vault to put his uniform away.
